HOT TOOLS Pro Artist Black Gold Curling Iron, 3/4 " Barrel

Best curling iron. Can control the heat output. Heavy duty.

I was weary of buying a professional tool on Amazon (also a little ashamed because I’m a licensed cosmetologist) but it arrived in perfect condition, with the correct papers (safety instructions and extra spring order form) and so far works perfectly. I bought this to replace my previous classic gold hot tool 3/4 inch curling iron that just suddenly stopped working unless I held it at a certain angle. In my experience, hot tools curling irons typically crap-out after 4-5 years but since I haven’t had this one very long, I can’t speak on it longevity. Overall, it works great.

My friend is a professional hair stylist in Beverly Hills. She wanted one of these and I found the hot tools for her. She likes it a lot. It is spray-painted with some kind of a soft black paint. Very pleasant to the touch and grippy Casey. She also wanted the longest curling portion which as you see in my picture is about 4 in. The effort to open it is not too high but it's also not too soft. The adjustment is a little tiny thing. I'm hoping it will not fall off when it's banged. But so far very nice

I've always bought Hot Tools with the gold barrel, but after reading the description I thought I'd try this. At first, i didn't like the 'grab' of the black barrel, but I've gotten used to it. I love the timed shut off, because I have always been 'bad' at leaving it on. I took tips for the reviews about the VERY long cord and left a good portion of it coiled. Overall, I'm really pleased with the product.

I have purchased at least 4 curling irons in the last 3 months. None of them worked to my satisfaction. I finally decided to let go of the cash and ordered this one. It is totally awesome! I love it and it gives me great curls and it is nicely designed. I love the black with the gold trim. You can’t go wrong with this iron.

I was dubious this would be a good investment because of the price, but I trusted other reviewers, and I wasn't disappointed! Works well, heats crazy-quick and styles nicely.

Purchased in January . Only worked for four months before breaking. Update: Helen of Troy replaced the item with a much lower quality junk iron. Inconsistent heating . Low quality clip that is held with plastic screws . Trash.

This curling iron heats very quickly and has a nice long barrel. It gets hot enough to curl very fast if you have the ability to do so. If you work more slowly there are many lower temperatures to use. This is as good as any professional curling iron I've ever owned.
