This book is Incredibly Beautiful -- every time I turn a page, it's another sweeping vista beckoning my Wanderlust & curiosity to know more! the sprawling photos say more than any captions can, The captions/descriptions are enlightening, helpful (tariffs, for ex) & include cool details like the 'scent' of a place(/activity) . Mentioned: Scotland's Orkney Islands, Papua New Guinea coral reef; Chile Lake District; 'Old standbys' include: Bhutan flags over monastery, Icelandic puffins; Athens ruins; a good 4 pages dedicated to Galapagos (as should be!) but the perspective of the photos is modern -- and every place looks worth experiencing! This is a beautiful book that travels the world through pictures. I got this book for my toddler as we study different parts of the world together. He finds the photos and information fascinating, which is a testament to how good it is.

I gave this to my travel agent friend and although she has been to quite a few places this tome is a lovely reminder of places visited or a bucket list for places one must visit.

The first time I bought this book used, it came damaged so I sent it back with prime and got a new one. This book is very beautiful, well written and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous. It's very inspirational and was so exciting seeing all the places I've been already and places I still would like to go. Highly recommended for anyone who loves to travel.

I saw this book in the National Geographic museum in DC. One of my sister's bought one and loves it. When I saw it online for considerably less, I had to order a copy for my other sister. I had it sent to her for her birthday, and she absolutely loves it! She said it was the best Birthday present yet!
