These are great for quilting
I love these pins for quilting they are thin and my machine goes right over them. The only thing is they are so thin that they bend easily.

This pin IS definitely “ultra fine”. Love it.
These ultra fine pins by Dritz are great. Love that they are so thin. The last pins I ordered were described as extra fine. They weren’t. These are! They glide through the fabric beautifully. The length is just what I was looking for. It’s a shame that it is so hard to find a thin pin. I just wish it was a bigger pack.

Easily bent
Pins are quite thin and are easily bent but they are very sharp. The length is good also.

These are the thinnest best pins for patchwork
I do precision patchwork. I make a lot of quilts. I pin like crazy. These are the thinnest, sharpest, all-around best pins for patchwork where you are matching and pinning intersections where seams meet. I always sew over pins at intersections and find that pin strikes are less likely with these thin pins and I have many fewer blunted or broken machine needles. These are no good for heavy fabric. They are perfect for quilt weight fabric. Downside is they bend easily, they are sucked up by the vacuum easily, and I have to buy new ones more often - they are worth it.

A must have when pinning cotton knit fabrics.
Ultra fine as stated.. easy to work with while pinning fabric and easy to get hold of when removing while sewing. A must have when sewing Cotton Knit type fabrics. Slide in and out leaving no damage to fabric.

My go to pins
These pins are so fine, I can sew over them for small turns without worry. They are flexible which sometimes is good and sometimes not, but they hold well on seams, applique, and for lining things up. The only thing they are not good for is when I layer my quilts; I still use longer, stronger pins for that.
