Mayonnaise Product of Japan Rich Creamy Umami 15.72oz 450g Bottle

I keep buying this over and over. This is what mayonnaise was when I was a child - silky, smooth, with great flavor. The recipes have changed over the years to that gelatinous, stiff stuff with too many weird ingredients. And, the price is better online that the few groceries that carry the Japanese product. Do make sure it's manufactured in Japan, there is an American made product as well that is far inferior.

This is very good. Tastes just slightly different from Best Foods. I have tried 2 different "kinds' of Kewpie. Both from Amazon. Both are slighly different. Not great enough for me to spend more and stop purhasing Best Foods (even though Best Foods has changed somewhat.) It seems as tho too many products are not the same as they were just 1 or 2 years ago.

Now THIS is the way mayonnaise should taste. It's terrific....made exclusively with egg yolks and is the product of Japan. Rich flavor, exceptionally creamy, comes in a squirt bottle. Awesome with anything that calls for mayo.

IMO this is the Best Mayonnaise on the Market;Dukes is absolutely amazing for Potato Salad etc. but for a Sammy this is the GOAT

I remember when I first tasted this on various foods that I have eaten when I visited Japan. It was not until I got back to the states that I grew tired of the mayonnaise that I used & began to look for the Kewpie brand from Japan. Even my family prefers it to the brand I grew up on. Suffice it to say that this is my new favorite & I keep a supply stocked going forward. Highly recommended.

Ok so like, yum. This is great made spicy mayo and I put it on a stir fry. Everything I expected it to be, creamy and good consistency! That being said the one star off is my fault. After eating about 2 tablespoons of the mayo on the stir fry (yes I was craving it for some reason) my mouth went numb. The I got super flushed, my heart was over 115 bpm (bp machine) and my BP was elevated. Took Benadryl immediately, feeling didn't go away for 3 hrs. It was not fun, but it was my fault. I should have tried a new product in small amounts, but I thought it was the same brand I had had before, which after calling the restaurant I found they used MSG free and a different brand. Yes, MSG gets a horrible wrap but that being said I can't eat a lot of cheese, soy sauce that contains msg, or foods that contain msg when I looked up the list. I am Sensitive with the awesome umami ingredient and can only have in small amounts. 2 tablespoons was apparently too much, so just know if your sensitive, try a small amount of this mayo first. The feeling was like taking niacin, which I am also Sensitive to. It wasn't the sriracha, I've used a small amount before in regular mayo, I eat sriracha normally in small amounts and it never caused this, it wasn't the reaction I have to super spicy foods at all - this was more like an allergic reaction, and what really worried me was the mouth/throat numbness and the wonky heart beats along with rapid pulse. So just make sure you've had it before or aren't sensitive to the ingredients!

This is so much better than traditi9nal American mayo. It is much creamer and richer in taste

The taste is real! Did I say Real!!! The last time we had this was in Japan.

This is my favourite mayonnaise. It’s Japanese, the most popular mayonnaise brand over there, and is made with egg yolks only, so it’s creamier than western mayonnaises that use the whole egg. I also find it more tangy than western mayonnaise. It has rice vinegar instead of distilled vinegar. This brand is widely available in UK supermarkets for cheaper than here on Amazon. The reason I bought this one is because it’s made in Japan, the ones in the supermarket are made in Poland and I’d read that the true Japanese ones taste even nicer. However, I couldn’t taste any difference at all between them. This is a really great mayonnaise and I’d recommend trying it.

Fantastic stuff. Lovely mayo in a simple squeezy bottle Just tastes different than the norm ……. In a good way Worth a try
