SENNELIER Delacroix Fixative 400Ml Spray

For the last 20 odd years I've been gagging on the stench of Krylon workable fixative, whimpering every time I need to use it and scowling as the pungent stench remains for months. The malignant odor lingered in my studio, even though I always spray my work outside and let it air out before bringing it back in. I have been hating it for way too long, so I finally decided that springing for the Sennelier option was worth a try. I'll never go back. This wonderful fixative spray does have a smell, and I still go outside to use it and allow it to dry and breathe, but it is not that overpowering punch to the olfactory nerve I tolerated for much too long. I also think it works much better, it sprays more evenly. If you're wondering if it's worth the cost, the answer is most assuredly YES.

Works great for colored pencils! Haven't used it for anything else.

This is probably the most expensive fixative on the market but it's the best. It doesn't change the value and it doesn't have an overpowering toxic smell like other brands. I still use the spray outside but it's ready to bring inside in about 15-30 minutes. My only gripe might be that it takes several coats to properly fix a charcoal drawing for a watercolor wash. I'm griping because the cost is so high that I'd rather be sparing. Still, there's nothing like this.

I can’t praise this spray enough! It’s absolutely beautiful when applied to a drawing. Doesn’t run or cause running with the charcoal or pencil. I’ve used colored pencils and it doesn’t even run those. I will buy this again! It is worth it to save my drawings from smearing and improved the overall look of my drawings! Great! I use this to fix pencil drawings in a journal so the pages don't smudge when the book is closed. It works great, and the best part is that it really doesn't have a strong odor and can be used indoors as long as you have a fairly large room or a little ventilation!

Been using this product on my pastels and charcoal drawings for over 50 years. I won't use anything else.

I have purchased this product before, and will continue to purchase as long as it is available. It is a wonderful fixative for my pencil/charcoal drawings. It sprays on easily, and keeps my finished pieces from smudging. Plus, although you should always use this and all similar products in a well-ventilated area, the smell is not offensive and won't leave you feeling as if you should have used a gas mask! This is not a workable fixative.

Compré este producto porque se me indicó que quitaba el brillo que queda en el dibujo del grafito. Un brillo intenso NO LO QUITA ABSOLUTAMENTE NADA.

J'utilise ce produit pour tous mes dessins pour fixer le fusain et le graphite. Très efficace et vraiment incolore.

Väldigt nöjd! Fixerar kolteckningar på tre sprayningar utan att mörka nämnvärt. Har en naturlig matt finish. Kommer köpa samma fixativ snart igen.
