Buy Chemistry: A Molecular Approach, Books a la Carte Edition (4th Edition) on desertcart.com ✓ FREE SHIPPING on qualified orders Review: Global edition complete same content , brand new book with much lower price - I was surprised the book was shipped from India. And it arrived right 3 days earlier than I expected. First in India, second day in Germany, third day in the States, fourth day delivered. The book is brand new nicely printed good quality, but with one little detail, but that happens to my calculus textbook too that I bought in the States, that the ink seems to comes off easily. When I mark with a line on a page, the ink of the last paper would be stuck on the paper I'm marking, because of the pressure I put on the paper, push the ink onto the next page. And the cardboard that held and protected the book in the shipping box was hell stinky, smells like feces which reminded my time when traveling in India. Global edition has the exactly same content. Brand new book. Prints well. Shipped fast. Much cheaper. It should be the best seller edition for this textbook. Review: One fine book, should give the student more than they put into it. - A very complete introductory text. After years in the private sector my wife is now pursuing a second career teaching and this is quite remedial for her. I'd recommend renting it if we hadn't downsized our bookshelves years ago! As a biology & chemistry teacher she will enjoy having such a well organized & detailed book. Our older texts were rather boring, less colorful and you certainly needed a professor to assist with mis-perceptions from reading the older chemistry texts of the previous millennium LOL! An unfamiliar student may not be able to read this text and teach themselves - and perhaps Prof. Tro has overthought the material and made assumptions on a newbie's analytical understanding of the text - but from the first two chapters any new student could teach themselves chemistry without a professor guiding them. I highly recommend this text even though I've only read the first two chapters. I will update this review should I find any flaws or concerns with Prof. Tro's Tome

Great for College Students
This was such a great deal for college students! Yes, it is a older looking and the binding is a little raw, however all the material is inside and the words/info is all intact. The inside of the book is neat and clean. And the price is a small fraction of renting from elsewhere. Highly recommend:-)

looseleaf is better
I love this book and although it does have some mistakes in it, i do enjoy the color photographs and the problems in the back of the book. my chem professor found a big mistake in one chapter ( 10) and he told us not to pat attention to the mistake and just follow his lecture instead. Other than that, it can be a hard read but with lectures, the book is easy to understand. my class covered 1-13 in chem 101.

My book came in at the due date with that ...
My book came in at the due date with that brand-new smell and look. All the pages are intact and nothing is missing. No highlight or pencil marks in the textbook either. Although this purchase costed my mom $280, what she bought was more than just a normal textbook—she spent $280 to invest in my future (jk, she just wants me to pay her back $5000 for every 1 cent she spends on me...typical parent). xD

No access code
The book itself is amazing but it doesn't come with the access code I needed for my class.

Very Useful with modern examples. In simple terms.

Springer published a review of many General chemistry textbooks by Mansoor Niaz & A Maza & Chemistry by N J. Tro got 7 points. Purchased the book based on that assessment but the book lacks many aspects of a fundamental principles. Even the symbols are not as per IUPAC recommendations.
