3 3/4" Black & White Viking Plastic Chess Pieces - Felted, Standard Size

These chess pieces are an amazing value for the money. The tiny detail on them is pretty impressive to see. The plastic seems like it would be very durable for a long time. They do not seem like cheap plastic that will dry out and crack. They are solid plastic but are softer type of plastic that will not break easily if dropped. I got them to start to teach my 4 year old grandson how to play chess. These are perfect. It is hard to find human looking pieces for less money. These were a great buy for the money. Very impressed with them.

Delivery was fast. The chess pieces are beautiful and large size 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm). Chess is made of fragile plastic. 1 package of chess was not in the original package and without protection from damage. 2 Viking figures were broken.

I purchased these pieces as soon as I saw them because I already have the Roman Legion set and this one appears to be of the same quality. It does not come with a board. I think they look good on a black and silver board with 1 9/16" wide squares. If you wanted, you could have the Roman Legion pieces face the Viking pieces on the chess board. I will note that the pawns do not remind me of Vikings... just wild men.

If you’re looking for just the chess pieces I’m sure it would be great I was expecting it to come with a chess board but it doesn’t that was my own fault tho for not reading up but the Pieces themselves are pretty cool they can be cleaned up more

One piece was broken at the base, I fixed it with epoxy.

What a fun find! For Christmas, I made several quilted chessboards in Icelandic and Danish colors. These Viking chess pieces are a perfect match. They are beautiful and expertly molded. They are also safe for younger grandchildren to play with for make-believe, not just Chess. They are larger than expected and I don’t worry about any choking hazards.

Good product, served its purpose to get my son a cool chess set. Pieces are identical just in two different colors. Which makes sense for most chess sets. As a idea for the future, mix up some of the pieces to create some added value of differentiation between the two sides. In the state of 3-D modeling it would be cool to see something different nurse or a Viking like in opposition to your opponent. Or add a very simple chess set option that includes Viking – North like graphics. Delivery was great. Communication was great. Product in of itself is a four-star product.
