Great value to drill a few holes in some pavers
I had to drill a hole in some pavers for electrical conduit. This worked great, used a spray bottle with water to keep the drill cool and lubricated. When using this type of hole saw start by using the side of the saw to create a half moon shape then slowly work the saw into the full hole you want to drill. Go slow, use slow speeds on your drill and gentle pressure. It will leave a perfect hole that looks like a pro did it. I only needed to do a few holes and didn't want to spend 100's buying something at the hardware store. Cleaned and coated with WD40 after and stored it for the future.

Easily drills through brick.
I only needed to drill one hole through a brick wall on my house. It did the job and costs significantly less than what I could get at Home Depot. How long it’s good for, I can’t answer, but it worked well for me.

Amazing tool for solid brick.
Amazing tool for going through solid brick. I needed to install a dryer vent and was nervous about damaging the brick on the house. I drilled from the inside out. The brick is 45 years old, and very hard. I got out my old B&D 3/8" drill and went to work. The bit worked amazingly well. About half way through, I broke the head off my drill! So, I had to run to the store to buy a new drill. I ended up buying a 1/2" hammer drill. When I got home and installed the bit on the new drill, I went back to work. In no time, I was chipping out the first bit of brick in order to keep cutting (it only goes 2-inches deep. Once chipped, I went back to it, and went the remaining 2 inches in about 5 minutes. After cutting through the brick, you can't even tell the bit was used on something so hard, as it barely shows any wear. Consider me impressed and my wife happy!

Great bit for small projects
Bought this to drill about a dozen holes through some natural stone coping, 2.5" thick. I hole drilled out a template in a scrap section of 2x10 and used that to keep the bit from walking until it was started. It cut well and didn't seem to loose function. Good value for the money.

Not as good as expected
Did not drill a hole in masonry wall as was expected. And plastic on the sides peels off. Wish I could return for credit.

Great option for fire brick.
What a life saver. I was running 2" PVC exhaust piping for a high efficiency furnace conversion and the clients home has "firebrick" or a harder brick. Typically I use concrete hole saws from Menards that work fine, but they were no match for the brick. This bit cut it like butter and was way cheaper than other options. Even if it is a one time use throw away, still worth it. It took a minute to get the home started with our a pilot bit in the center, but I was able to hole the outside of the bit gently wearing a glove. Once it got started it wa easy from there. Once through the brick, I switched to a wood home saw to finish it off at the framing. Thank you!

Excellent for masonry, but not wood
I bought this hole saw to vent a bathroom exhaust fan out the side wall of my home. My house is stucco, so I chose this masonry saw. This hole saw is precisely 4” and is very well made. The saw cut through the stucco very well. It took some effort and force, but only as much as would be normal to go through 5/8” of concrete. No trouble with the stucco and the drywall, but then I came to a wood beam 1.5” thick. This hole saw is definitely not made for cutting wood. After drilling for quite a while on the wood I finally had to give up on the hole saw and use a reciprocating saw. If you’re using this for masonry only, it’s a great tool, highly recommended. If you have to go through wood, you’ll need a different tool.
