Great upgrade for your sprinkler heads
These rotating sprayers are much more efficient than typical fan nozzles providing better coverage. They are super easy to adjust. No tools are required to install or for adjustment. The only negative is that they are not as robust as traditional fan nozzles. If you run over them with a car tire, then they probably will not survive.

Maintains good pressure and sprays water efficiently
These work a lot more efficiently and with better higher pressure than the regular sprinkler nozzles. I had a lot of sprinklers on the same pipe and some would not get enough pressure to pop up fully with regular nozzles. When I replaced the nozzles with these, I got both better pressure that’s raised the pop-up part a lot higher and got better spraying distance and coverage. I wish I had use these nozzles from day one. Adjusting angle range and distance is super easy and requires no tools.

2 of 10 work Great, others notsomuch -- Problems with Replacement
Update 2: I have returned 2 of 10 defective sprinkler nozzles from my first order. In a second order, all 10 worked properly. The Amazon automated return system could Not handle a partial replacement of 10 identical parts, with 2 being defective. The Amazon robot finally had a Live person call me. I explained the dilemma and had the RMA ID number ready. It had been cancelled. Now I am supposed to get a replacement for free in two days. I hope they do not send me 10 replacements! I am not trying to Cheat Amazon. I just want to replace 2 of 10 nozzles. I now have a test device (see picture) so I can identify defective nozzles before I install them, which can be a lot of work. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I tried the Hunter (RTL2002MP200090) and Rainbird versions (R-Van14 Adjustable) of this mini-rotating sprinkler head. Both worked well but I liked the Rainbird a little better and so bought a pack of 10. Some complained a few heads were faulty. I found by increasing and decreasing the arc just a little on heads that were not spraying correctly, the pattern became normal and satisfactory. (Update, it returns to defective coverage with gaps after being turned off and back on). The radius ("throw") is easier to adjust on the Rainbird than the Hunter but there is not much adjustment. The Hunter was shooting too far and the distance adjustment did not help, while the Rainbird adjustment helped a little and was easier. The Rainbird webpage shows the R-VAN14 and 14RNVAPRO, but I called Rainbird several times and finally a someone assured me they are identical with no differences. Most references to 14RNVAPRO link to the R-VAN14

An easy retrofit that saves lots of water
The problem with conventional sprinkler nozzles is that they have only limited geometric coverage patterns (quarter, half, or full circle) and they emit a fine spray that is easily blown away from your lawn by even the lightest of winds and more readily evaporates before falling. We looked into rotary sprinkler heads many years ago, but it was going to cost us hundreds of dollars to retrofit our small backyard. Fast forward to last month. I needed to replace a couple of leaking conventional nozzles. I researched again and found these drop-in replacements. $67 (10-piece bag) and less than an hour of work, and I had replaced all the nozzles. The best part is that you can adjust these to start and end where you want so that the concentrated streams of water end up on the lawn where they belong. I love high tech at a low price. Highly recommend!

Up to 50% defect rate, not as adjustable as they advertise!
I bought these to replace all the sprinkler heads in my lawn and it was a huge mistake. While operation seems easy in theory, I ended up spending countless hours adjusting these. They really do need better quality control, since the defective rate is up to 50%. Some heads seem stuck at 45 degrees, when they're supposed to go up to 270. Pushing them down and turning them have no effect (water pressure was fine). They're supposed to be adjustable from 8-14 feet, but the truth is any attempt to reduce that distance causes them to jump from 14 feet to an arbitrary 3-8 feet, in which they will outright fail the next time the timer goes on. This means you would have to flush them on every cycle. When you pull the head out to flush them, you can see that it should work, that water does come out at a good stream of 270 degrees, so perhaps the saving grace is that if you have unlimited time on your hands, you can kneel by every head and pull them for the entire duration of the cycle to make it work. Unfortunately, I have already replaced most of the heads, so now I'm stuck between the prospect of replacing them back with the cheaper, BETTER sprinklers from Home Depot, and be down $200, or buy more of these heads just to account for half of the ones in the bag that were defective. Either way, I am extremely disappointed in the abject failure of what seemed like an awesome concept. I would love to know how people are making these work consistently. To be sure, when they work, they work, but be prepared to buy 3 times as many as you needed, and spend 10 times the time adjusting these than the traditional ones with the screw. 2-3 of these outright burst from the radius adjustment dial. These are probably the worst gardening products I've ever owned.

They are ok but
not very durable I have had trouble with them, they don't want to adjust after a while so not sure I would buy these again. Good idea though just not good quality

Really good upgrade
They are so much better than standard sprinkler heads. Very easy to install. No special tools needed. We used a small flathead screwdriver and a pair of adjustable pliers. Once you figure out how to adjust them you will wonder why you waited to upgrade. Plus they likely save water compared to old style heads.

It is great to be able to see where the water is landing and what areas are not getting enough water.....my old system was wasting water from too much spraying mist, heads kept getting clogged and was easily diverted if it was windy.....these new heads are more efficient and effective....after almost 20 years had to dig up all my sprinklers and center them on my level to make maximum use of these new gear type because if they aren't you can immediately see where you are wasting water...takes several days to get these heads so you have to plan for that, but they do arrive on time....very happy for now with product, glad to see the large filter screen and give it 4 stars for now to see how they last and how well the filter system works...

About half of them clog up after a year and a bit. I'll turn the irrigation on and 3 of them won't spray unless pulled up to flush them out. And the next watering cycle they will be clogged up again.
