This little humidifier is smaller than a water bottle. It is easy to operate. One push is a steady stream of mist that will run about 4/5 hours, two pushes is an intermittent stream that allows it to run all night, three pushes shuts it off. I have a small humidity register nearby and since I have been running this, my bedroom humidity has increased from the dry zone to the good zone. I estimate it puts about 1/2 cup to 1 cup moisture in the air based on the water it uses. It does not work like a vaporizer which puts plenty of moisture in the air, nor does it work as well as a large humidifier. It’s small, portable, packable, easy to use and helps with the incredible dryness that accompanies electric heat. My nose appreciates it and so do I. Review: Nifty Travel Humidifier - I purchased the Madetec cool mist humidifier for a recent trip. I find hotel rooms to be dry, and I was suffering from a cough. This humidifier fit snugly in my suitcase and was easy to use; the cool mist began immediately when I plugged the humidifier in. The mist lasted for 8 hours as advertised and shut off automatically. It helped alleviate my dry throat and dry nose. I spent three of three coughless nights. Also, once home, I found it fits neatly on my night table, and I use it to help humidify the dry air around the upper part of my bed. Just one important point to keep in mind. This device is not going to humidify a large room. It’s small size makes it perfect for a bedside nightstand, which is exactly where I wanted it. All in all, this is a nifty little device and is reasonably priced for what it does.

It's tiny, easy to use, and so far I like it.
I like the size. It's really small. I always and only use filtered water. I fill it up, turn it on using the second push where you get about 10-15 seconds of intermittent spray. Initially I pushed the on button once so the spray would be on constantly. But in the morning, it was always off (automatic shut-off) sometime during the night. I think it may only run about 5 hours max being on constantly. Another time I decided to push the on button twice and see how long it would run at night with the intermittent spray. It doesn't cut off and is still running in the morning. I still feel like I'm getting enough moisture. So far I haven't had to clean it. I pour out the previous night's filtered water, add fresh filtered water. There's no scum, no build up or funky smells or anything. If there is one draw back, I would say you should keep it right next to your bed as you sleep. I'm just not sure how effective it would be further away. If you have a stuffy nose or throat at night, by all means, give this a try. You may also want to consider closing your heating vent while sleeping if your nose gets especially blocked or dried out at night.

Stopped working after 1 year
Was looking for a desktop humidifier for my home office to use during winter time. I only used it for the winter last year. Pulled it out again as the weather is getting cold and dry, and this thing wouldn't even turn on! I soaked the cotton stick, tried different USB cords and everything. Couldn't believe I only got one season of use out of this product. You get what you pay for I guess. P.S. I've had way too many bad experiences with the quality humidifiers from Amazon (one melted a USB cable!). I will only be buying humidifiers from name brands (Vicks, Homedics, etc.) from now on.

Worked great until it didn't
I needed a quick solution to the dryness in a sudden change of location with my humidifier in storage. This filled the gap pretty well next to the bedside or at my work desk for 3 months. I got my larger humidifier back and didn't use it for 2 weeks. Came back to it, changed the filter and turned it on and it barely made an electronic peep. The motor just wasn't working anymore. This has happened to me with mini humidifiers before. They're not expensive and they fill the gap if you travel well, for peace of mind if nothing else. They don't last long. This one lasted 3 months. Worked as much as I needed it to frankly. Just know it's for short term uses.

Humidity for your personal space - Unplug when Not Using or Around
Have run the device several nights while staying in hotels. Travels well, great for hotels room and ordered another one to keep in my personal office space. Would like more information on size and/or how to order replacement water wicks to keep mechanics running optimally for device longevity. 1-Year Update Got the humidifier in this update late 2019. Used the humidifier daily at work and stopped using it when we worked from home due to COVID. Started using the humidifier again late November 2020. No issues as we use it now for sleeping humidification on the nightstand. The device turns off after its run period and we've left it plugged in throughout the day. It was off this morning when I woke up and we smelled burning plastic around lunch time. Found the power connector completely melted into the unti destroying itself and the mini-USB power cable end. Thankful there was not a fire! Will continue to use our other unit but will be unplugging it when it's not in operation going forward. More updates if something else happens with the older humidifier we purchased of the same type a few months earlier than this one.

Amazing, Useful Product
Absolutely LOVE this product. One of the cheapest humidifiers I’ve been able to find and it really does the trick! I used to have multiple nosebleeds a week, and I haven’t had a single one since I got this humidifier. Super easy to use. 2 timer options, either 4 hour continuous spray or 8 hours of 3 seconds spray and 3 second pause. Has changing colors and you can also pause the colors to stay on a single color. Spray turns off automatically according to the timer option chosen. It comes with a filter stick to use, and an extra one. Only complaint is the cord is a little short (maybe about 2 feet long) and it has to be plugged in to turn on. Other than that, it’s perfect. Super compact so it’s easy to take on travel.

OMG where has this been all my life? This wee little humidifier is the cutest and coolest thing ever! I want to buy 10 more and keep them all over my house like a little humidifier Army! I can't stop giggling about it, so freaking cute! This little misty nugget is the easiest to use - unscrew top, fill with water, screw top back on, plug in, 1 touch button, GOOD. TO. GO. Press the button again - you get intermittent misting (which is mostly quiet) Hold the button, the little darling LIGHTS UP!!! And not just that, the colours CHANGE!! That's right, turn the overhead lights off, turn on some music, and you've got yourself a mini humid disco ball. BUY THIS you will NOT regret it.

This desktop humidifier works well and produces just enough water vapour without making the room feel like a swamp. This is the second one I got because my husband started using one at his desk to help with his dry eyes while working. I bought that one 3 years ago and it's still going strong. It's about the size of a portable coffee mug, and comes with a USB cord that plugs into your computer or a hub (but no power brick/plug -- if you want to plug it into the wall, you'll have to get one). It's quiet. There is a cotton filter inside that will eventually need to be changed (depends how hard your water is and how much you use it), you have to order those separately. Love it!

The one in walmart is much better than this and walmart sells for 10$, this one stops evaporating every hour or so and someone has to click the button again. Wont work for people who sleep
