No they will not make leather shiny. Very nice, non oily A's I use for all my non suede leather shoes, boots, jackets. It will not darken your leather.

You can use it for leather lined boots to clean and treat the lining, but if you want to deal with stinky insoles and fabric, you need a fabric deodorizer like febreze or baking soda. There are also she deodorizer balls you can buy. This if for cleaning stains and dirt, and conditioning.
