I can't get the upper an lower parts to slide apart It's like they are welded together.Does anyone have a solution?

If you have removed the securing pin and the two sections will not move it looks like a manufacturing fault and you should return the stick or contact the manufacturer. I have two of these sticks and have not experienced any problem adjusting them to the length I need.

How do you adjust the height please

It adjusts the same as others with a ‘button’ to press in, lengthen to the hole required then the ‘button’ will pop out into the new hole and secure it there
