Nikon: A Celebration

This huge, expensive book is fascinating and quite incredible in its presentation, and the author's research is extensive and very impressive. It is beautifully printed and includes all the details and fascinating information about Nikon's long and rich history from its inception. Aside from photos of the author's own extensive Nikon camera collection, the book includes photos of original camera ads and camera campaigns through the years. I was pleased to find that this latest version of the book from 2018 includes the modern digital Nikons through the D850. The author has beautifully photographed his drool-worthy collection of Nikons, especially the early cameras and lenses. Another great feature is the appendix with all the camera and lens models and serial numbers. If you collect older cameras and lenses, this is very useful information to have at hand. Overall, this book is the ultimate guilty treat for Nikon aficionados, and highly recommended if you are part of that group.

Used Nikon System, Rangfinder and SLR, for work, from 1962 to 2004.Coffee table book covers it all. Was a treat to explore "old friends," i.e.,(Nikon gear.) Book is very comprehensive with excellent pictures, graphics.Glad to have on my shelf.

I own or have read several marque books - from e.g. Leica cameras to other items such as watches; some of which books are extremely expensive. This book was a total surprise. The best I’ve seen. Very comprehensive history of Nikon from conception to today, e.g Nikon D850 - their 70th year flagship camera. Extremely well illustrated throughout: many period photographs and period Nikon advertisements. It’s clear Nikon - normally secretive- threw open their archives for the author. Fascinating treasure trove of a book.

A truly superb book bringing back memories of Nikon cameras I have owned or used in the past. This is an excellent book that will be enjoyed by all Nikon enthusiasts.
