Served me well.
I'm a huge fan of the DeWalt Tstak line of modular boxes, especially the ones with drawers. I use them for many different things, with many different configurations. These double drawer boxes are perfect for storing my hobby supplies, particularly the Tamiya acrylic hobby paint jars, but they also are fantastic for storing my paint brushes, xacto knives, pipettes, miniature files, and a number of other things I use to assemble, and paint, tabletop gaming miniatures. Each drawer has removable dividers, which can be set up in different configurations to store different items. The drawers open and close smoothly, and the have built in locking mechanisms that keep the drawers closed, with a squeeze release on each of the handles. There all very sturdy, and made from a very durable plastic material. While they aren't waterproof, like some of the more expensive brands of modular boxes, I don't really need them to be waterproof since I assemble, and paint miniatures inside the comforts of my home.As I said, I'm a huge fan of these boxes, and I plan on continuing to buy them for the foreseeable future. I think they are a great value, and they have served me well for the last decade.

THE BEST 2 SLIDING DRAWERS TOOL STORAGE UNIT MONEY CAN BUY!!!
I write reviews very rarely. I am so thrilled by this product that I am compelled to write this review. I am very much impressed with this DeWalt TSAK Tool Storage with 2 drawers. Just by looking at it you can tell that it is a Fine product, very well made and extremely high quality. It is Tough, Very Sleek design, Safety features like the drawers lock automatically and you have to simply squeeze the heavy duty plastic bar behind the handle- very practical. The drawers slide out so smoothly. One of the best features is that all the dividers inside can be taken out to provide one fully unobstructed drawer. One of the dividers i cut a small sliver at the bottom to fit 1/2" size drill bits. I am using it on top of rolling tool caddy to organize drill bits and other small carpentry gadgets. It can be used for anything else as well- not limited to tools. The black heavy duty plastic is extremely strong and also very smooth to touch anywhere - no sharp plastic or spurs anywhere. In my opinion it can easily sell for double of what i paid ($38+), i am very much surprised at the price knowing it by DeWalt. O, there is a recessed handle on top that is extremely strong and sturdy and it kind of snaps in so that it does not dangle in transit or when lifted up in angle. All in all it is very THOUGHTFULLY made. I have attached peel and stick magnetic strips in each compartment to grab drill bits and other objects and a 9" spirit level on top left side with the help of strip magnets (1/4" x 2.5" roughly from amazon). This is my honest review and i bought it Sale price - I did not get anything to write this review - I doubt DeWalt would seek people to give good reviews in exchange for products - their products are Top of the line and speaks for itself. Enjoy this beautiful organizer !!!

Amazing addition to the set!
Great for small parts, drill bits etcNot for storing tools. Very sturdy. Strong handles. Love it

Good tool box components
Love these! I ordered a second set after using them. I have 4 components snapped together as a toolbox in my farm truck. Not as big or maybe as tough as a Milwaukee, or Klein, but much less expensive too. Mine rides in the back of my truck all the time and hasn't broken.

Great Concept But a Couple of Problems
First of all, I like the product idea very much. Well thought out features and usability. Drawer racks and latches are great and operate smoothly. The drawer label provision is a good touch (I printed my own labels on paper and cut them out). Superb how the boxes interlock and latch together with a secure and simple latching scheme. Really like the texture, colors, and durability of the plastic selected. Although watch out, I was delivered one of the lidded TSTAK boxes that was broken during shipping. Seems a bit brittle so I wouldn’t subject it to forceful impacts. Now the down side, the box structure is poorly designed and manufactured. The shelf under the bottom drawer is bowed upwards so that the bottom drawer drags on it. That is mentioned in some of the other reviews and you can see it in the DeWalt product photos. But worse than that is the supporting feet are positioned so that the lower shelf bows up even more so into the bottom drawer, more so with heavier loads in the toolbox. I would expect this to get worse as the plastic deforms over time. Note that this is not a problem when stacking the drawer box on top of other TSTAK boxes because the bottom feet are not in play (load goes through the sidewalls). One way out of the bottom box support problem might be to purchase the roller base. I fixed this by custom fitting 4 wooden feet to my bottom box (painting them black) so that they support the box at the sidewalls.Of lesser concern is that with the drawers more heavily loaded I am not sure whether or not they will bow downward over time.I easily would have given 5 stars if not for the bowed lower shelf and the poorly located supporting feet. I almost gave 3 stars.DeWalt:Do you read these reviews? Come on, get your act together. You have a fantastic reputation built up over the years. Don’t mess it up. Unfortunately once the downward slide to incompetence starts, mediocrity seems to be inevitable. I have many of your excellent products and until now look to DeWalt first before other brands. The two primary mistakes on this product:1) How long have you sourced out molded parts? Can’t you by now manage your designs and suppliers so that you can mold a bottom shelf that is not excessively distorted?2) First rule of structural design is to mind your load path. Shame on you. Who signed off on the drawing? You have set your side walls as the load carrying members, the drawers beam the loads nicely and added toolboxes seem to be supported okay. Then when you get to the bottom feet you drastically offset the load reaction points with insufficient moment carrying capability from the shelf. Sure, you would have had to rework your interlocking/interface features but you need to start with something that works structurally.

Roll your own mini tool chest
Product Manufacturer: DeWaltModel Indication / Branding: Tstak IV 2 Drawer (with removable dividers)Manufacturer Model Number: Euro stock # DWST1-70706 / USA DWST17804Weight: 26 ounces / 737 gramsDimensions: 440 x 176 x 314.2 mm / 17 1/4" x 6 7/8" x 12 1/4" in.Overview:People don't trust a glowing review of a product. So I am not going to give one. Lets stick with the facts this go around. The DeWalt Tstak system is comprised of a combination of 6 tool box / storage systems and a optional dolly cart. These storage systems are designed to attach to each other with a set of interlocking ears that attach top to bottom of each tool case. The modularity of the system allows you to pick and choose the storage components that will best suite your needs. This allows you to have a custom tool chest that is stationary in your work space or to have tools grouped together by purpose so you can only pull the modules you need for a given day and take those with you but leave the others at the shop.Tstack or Tough Case?:Dewalt currently has two tool storage systems on the market. The Tough Case system and the Tstak system. The Tough case system is waterproof and air tight and designed so that if your boxes are exposed to weather that they will protect the tools and items inside the boxes from exposure. It is a much heavier and heavy duty system more aimed toward contractors and people who need to move many heavy tools across gravel, and up stairs and through unimproved spaces. The Tstak system however IS NOT weather rated, Nor is it as heavy in construction. Nor is it going across gravel or up flights of stairs without some effort. To put this in perspective I use the Tstak system to store my precision tools, measures, gauges and my pull saws and soldering irons and I use the Tough Case system to store my wrenches, diagonal cutters, impact wrenches and other heavy duty tools. This is not to say that the Tstak system is not equally well suited for its purpose. But keep in mind what each category of tool storage are designed for in your decision making and research process. The Tstak IV:The Tsak IV is shallow two drawer unit. From the factory each drawer is divided into 9 sub compartments by horizontal and vertical interlocking dividers. I use one of my drawers to hold my precision driver sets and precision picks and tools so I removed all of the horizontal slats so I could have 3 long vertical channels to keep the various pliers, strippers and forceps separated from the miniature drivers, separated from the precision picks. While the other drawer I left in tact to keep my fuses, separate from my Anderson connectors and miniature screw sets etc...This unit only has a handle on the top, unlike some of the other units that have both top and side handles. This is ostensibly to keep you from tipping items out of the drawers. Each drawer has locking latch the most be released by pinching a latch under the drawer face. So it has a positive close and lock to keep the drawers from opening on their own.The drawer slides are incredibly smooth and feel as though they are overrated for the amount of items that would be stored in such shallow drawers. I consider this a bonus. I prefer to have something that is over engineered to the point of being satisfactory but not stiff or hard to operate. One final feature are the drawer labels. Each drawer has a clear plastic cover where you can place the drawer summary inside of it. This is very handy especially if you have multiple modules of the same type stacked on top of each other. Conclusion:I bought into this modular system as a alternative to a bulky / heavy and hard to maneuver metal tool chest. I move my tools from home to shop and different sites. I do not have nor need a large truck or van so having something that is of a medium duty construction but still portable and keeps my tools organized is they key functionality. Luggage carting around a massive tiered tool tray and several independent cases for power tools got old very quickly. So if you are a neat DIYer, engineer, technician or mechanic and you have the need to both keep your tools organized and potentially indoor portable. Then I would recommend you look into this system. Depending on how many modules you purchase it could be a bit of a investment, but one worth I consider worth its weight in convenience and cool factor.

THIS ROCKS!
So far i like them. They will fit on a shelf where a metal tool box won't, and they are just as portable. The drawers lock and unlock easily. The drawer slides have bearings for smooth opening/closing, and will handle the weight well. The drawers come with removable dividers that are locked in place, which is excellent for getting things organized. The only "con" the drawers have is they are plastic, which no matter how load them might sag eventually. The case seems sturdy enough as long as it is taken care of. Tossing them into the back of a pick up and left to slide around is not a good idea for it's long term survival. I like the handle, comfortable enough to carry. The plastic makes less noise as compared to a metal hip roof box full of tools when being carried around. They even have a trolley to make transport easier. The only "con" about the case was pointed out by other reviewers. It is the bottom of the case. When it is set down on a flat surface the "feet" on the bottom make the it bow upward into the bottom drawer, not really a deal killer. I think the problem can be fixed with a little ingenuity.Overall i definitely like the Tstak line of productsI bought two of the two drawer units and I am happy.UPDATE 3-10-20 I bought two more of the single drawer units, and they are nice, they even come with a bunch of small parts storage containers inside the drawers. Even more useful!I no longer think it is the feet that makes the bottom bow upwards, just something that is. As long as it does not interfere with the drawer operation, I don't care.

Great tool organizer
Perfect for small tools and screws, the best part is you don't need to take off what u have upside and the Tstack compatibility. The size doesn't match with Dewalt tool sets.

Heavy duty, good quality but lacks capacity a bit versus its overall size
Bought this 2 drawer unit on sale on the spur of the moment, wasn't exactly sure what to expect but I'm pleasantly surprised! The drawer unit is really heavy duty, good quality (literally, heavy duty - it's heavy to carry around even empty!) - the drawers are on runners so open nice and smoothly, and latch shut so they won't just drop open. Latch hooks on the drawers are plastic and look like they may be the weak point of this unit over the years, but I'm only using this as bench storage anyway so not a big deal if they do snap.My only 'con' I guess would be the outside size of the unit (and therefore the space it takes up), versus the fairly small amount of storage it actually offers - it's pretty inefficient in that regard. For me the overall space this eats up vs it's storage capacity isn't a problem as it's only to keep things tidy in the garage on the bench, if space were at a premium I'd knock a star off.The drawers both come with dividers inside giving 9 'cups' in each drawer which are good for storing all your screws and small parts (my use for this item). Not sure i'd buy it at full price, but for the $29 'sale' price it's a good, neat well built little storage solution that will suit my purpose perfectly :)Edit: should have added, the drawer dividers are removable so there's a bit more versatility - I removed one in one drawer and used the larger cups for keeping screwdriver bit sets in their cases.
