Interstate batteries are very reliable been using for years

Fit my raptor after I reamed the term to 1/4 inch. Holding a charge and starting well.

Very good battery, price is very reasonable. They last long time, if maintained by a tender/charger within 700 million amps or less.

The Interstate Battery Generac Generator battery came charged and ready to install. Before installing the battery, I put the battery on a charger to check to make sure it was charged and it showed that the battery was charged already so it didn't need to be charged. The terminals on top of the battery are oriented in a different position and this is why I didn't give it a five -star rating. It fit into the battery enclosure perfectly and the post on top are on the correct side of the battery so there is no problem with the generator's battery cables reaching the terminals. The reason I didn't like the terminals being rotated 90 degrees is that when I tried to install the cables using a screwdriver, there is a possibility of shorting between the two terminals. So I used a wrench to tighten the bolts and nuts which made it take a little longer to install, but other than that the battery works great so far. If I have any issues with the battery I will update the review in the future but as of now I am very happy with the battery and I would buy this again because it cost a lot less than the original from Generac.

Needed a battery for my Blackmax 7000 generator as the old one had died between hurricane seasons. I found this battery after a mishap with ordering a generic replacement with wrong orientation and sized terminals. After measuring the sizes and specs on the old battery and comparing them with this one, I decided to give it a shot. Battery fit just fine, came with all the hardware to bolt on the cables and started up the generator in a snap. I also feel better trusting this name brand for a piece of emergency equipment over the generic stuff. It's a good quality battery at a fantastic price and available quick. Plus, the seller gives more than adequate dimensions and info to determine if it will work for your generator, which is appreciated. One other thing to note if you're trying to verify compatibility is that the terminals are pictured as being vertical on the seller page, [ I I ] but they are actually horizontal [ - - ] and parallel with short side of the battery. Makes more sense so you can fit the bolts and tighten them, but that was a point of concern for me when I bought the battery.

This battery is an exact replacement for the Generac GP6500E battery. (I mainly use my generator as stand-by power for my home.) This battery duplicates the capacity and rating, and is the same dimensions as the factory Generac battery, so it fits in the battery area and clamps without requiring any modifications. It has the vertical 1/4" bolt terminals which are on the same side as the original. It came charged, but I did trickle charge it over night before installing it. I made the same mistake as other reviews did by leaving a battery charger charging the original battery long term. Unfortunately, this appears to fry the battery. My Generac came with a charger and a plug on the control panel for it, so I assumed the charger could just be left on to ensure the battery would be fully charged when needed to start the generator. There is a section in the generator instructions saying to not do that, but I missed it. Along with the replacement battery, I purchased a 750mA "Battery Tender Junior" which is a "smart" charger which can be left on the battery. It came with both clamp and ring connectors for the battery terminals; and I used the ring connectors to add the charger rings to the terminals. There is a plug between the terminal connectors and the charger so the generator can still be easily moved and used elsewhere.
