We call it The Magic Fan
It's rare anymore to buy something that's higher quality than you expected, but we got that with this fan! It is practically silent yet powerful and sturdy. I can't speak to the battery life because it's so quiet that we forget it's on and leave it running all day and night until it dies. But it definitely lasts long enough for us. I wish the charging cable was a little longer so I could use it while charging more easily, but it charges fairly quickly so that's not a huge problem. Being able to bring the fan with me from room to room when it's charged vastly outweighs that con anyway. I have noticed that a few weeks after purchasing it the fan occasionally makes a squealing noise. Adjusting the tilt seems to stop it. At the moment that's not a big deal, but if it becomes a more persistent problem I'll come back and knock a star off.

Sturdy, quiet, lightweight, impressive battery life
This fan is cool, and the best battery-powered one I’ve ever used (I have a few). I live off-grid so my power runs out by 2am every night and doesn’t come back on until 8am or later. But this thing charges itself during the day and just keeps on running all night, then recharges itself after the power comes back on usually 6-8 hours later. It keeps the bedroom breezy & cool all night long, isn’t too noisy, and the speed is super adjustable. It’s also lightweight and easy to carry because of the handle, so I often take it with me when I go to art shows/fairs as a way of keeping myself and my clients cool while making & selling artwork under my canopy. It also makes hanging out outdoors more comfortable because it gets so darn hot in the summer, but I just pick a spot in the shade, set this thing next to me, and I can keep cool for hours while reading, painting, etc., and not have to be stuck in-doors next to my swamp cooler. The breeze also helps keep flies off my person and my paintings. The battery lasts for many hours, especially if you keep it on a medium or low setting (rather than a high setting) and though I’ve had it for 2 years now, the battery seems just as good, and the fan is still working perfectly. It’s made of sturdy metal and has handled accidental falls/drops/kicks/etc like a champ.

10" GeekAire
This is a very well constructed, little but mighty, fan with great air flow. Nothing flimsy about it, all metal parts. Will be using it for storms, power outages and everyday use. Just got done with Beryl and I wish I had, had this little fan then. No power for 5 days and the heat was unbearable. I love the fact that it can be used by the battery alone, or plugged in to use also.

Compact, effective, quiet
I run hot, my partner does not. This Geek Aire fan has been a big help. I use it indoors. It's quiet enough that I can aim it at myself while watching TV without bothering my partner, or in my office while I am doing work that requires careful listening. It's a nice size, lightweight, and the handle on top makes it easy to grab and move. I rarely run it at full-speed because I find that lower speeds are sufficient for getting the effect I want. The charge-time has been good. In my office, I keep it plugged in. While watching TV, it is on the ottoman and relying on battery charge. I bought the 10" yellow version and I like compact size and the cheerful, mustard color.

Horrible Customer Service
We have purchased a few of these fans and as long as the fan doesn’t have an issues then you should be set. The problem is If there is any issue with the fan, this company absolutely does not stand behind their ‘warranty’. One of our Geek Aire fans stopped charging. Seeing as how it is a ‘rechargeable’ fan, that was a big problem, My husband emailed the company about the issue and we waited for a response. After several weeks of waiting, I located the company’s phone number and contacted them that way. By that time, we were 2 days past the 1 year warranty. The representative had me send an email with the pertinent info. I received an odd response stating that since I stated that I purchased the fan in 2021 (😳?!?-no I didn’t) it was out of coverage. I immediately responded reiterating that I purchased it in 2023, NOT 2021. I received no response. I then attempted to call several more times over the course of the following week, but would get sent to a voice mail box that was too full to accept messages. I eventually was able to reach a representative again with whom I explained the issue. She said she could see that I actually purchased the fan in 2023, not 2021, but it was outside of the warranty. I again explained that we had contacted them within the 1 year warranty. They just hadn’t responded to us within that time period. She then asked what email we had written to and stated that they didn’t have access to that email. I pointed out that the email we used was the one listed on both the Geek Aire website and Facebook page for customer service. She then just started repeating over and over, ‘Sorry, it has already been declined’. I asked repeatedly to speak to a manager or someone else that could assist me if she wasn’t able to, but she just continued to say, ‘Sorry, it has been declined’. Then she hung up on me.

A GREAT portable fan that could stand more battery capacity
It moves air like a similarly sized plug in fan.Its fan blade noise is slightly quieter than a similarly sized plug in fan; at low speeds in a quiet room you might hear a faint high pitched circuit whine.Neither is reason to reduce from 5 to 4 stars; this product is quite good as a fan.It has been a very good fan in the month that I've had it.The -1 is the battery capacity. This fan is WAY more light than it should be for a battery powered device. The 12" fan is selling around $100. A similar plug in fan would cost from $30~$40; this leaves a lot of profit margin for battery storage. This fan has a fairly small amount of battery storage. It could honestly have twice the battery capacity without changing the look of it at all. As soon as it malfunctions in any way I'm cracking it open to upgrade the battery capacity; it feels like there must be empty space for lots more 18650's.
