Quality wood and quality construction. The two pieces of wood that make the top part of the hanger are sanded very smooth. Unless you get a defective one, this hanger should not snag on clothes. The strap notches are also sanded. The pants bar is attached with a brad nail on each end. Attachment seems strong enough. The pants bar is rougher than the top part of the hanger. The hanger is not painted and there is not any plastic covering on the pants bar (it's just wood). The metal hook on the top moves freely without wobbling. The top part of the hanger is a half inch wide, and the pants bar is 3/8 diameter. Hangers have a nice cedar smell that I notice if I hold them up to my nose. However, with a couple dozen of them in a large closet, I can hardly detect a cedar odor. The hangers I received were packaged in a box like the Amazon picture, except there was a thin piece of foam between each hanger.

These are super sturdy! I was a little worried about how the dowel rod would be attached, but the small wood nails holding it in place are very sturdy. I hang three pairs of dress plants on one hanger and I am not worried at all about the weight damaging the hanger. Also, these smell amazing, very nice cedar. I ordered a variety of Neaties Cedar hangers to replace all of the mismatched ones in my closet. These slim ones with the bar are great for all of my work shirts and dress pants. The medium ones are perfect for suits and most coats/jackets. I also got the 4 pack of large which are perfect for my 3 real heavy winter coats. All in all my closets smell great and look much nicer. I didn’t really think I would be so happy with purchasing hangers, but I guess it is time to start adulting after 40. I also don’t often do reviews, but really thought these things were worth sharing the good word about.

I've purchased two sets of these hangers since 2019 and about to order a third. They are well built, aromatic, and thin. I use them for polos, dress shirts, button-downs, sport coats, and jackets--wonderful. After a while, the cedar scent does fade, but a quick "brush" with some sandpaper for 10 seconds bring all the scent back if you want it. If you want durable wood hangers, I could not recommend them highly enough. I'm a very happy repeat customer.

I got two boxes at the same time in June 2024. No problems with box #1. I just recently opened the second box and found that many of the hangers have smudges and little crystals stuck near the top joint. I'm assuming that's wood glue residue. But it's kind of annoying because now I have to clean that off (maybe light sanding would be faster?). Otherwise, perfect hangers.

Quality on the top / angled part of the hanger is great; sanded very smooth, nice appearance, good cedar smell. One negative on these is the center / pants bar is not smooth, not really sanded at all. While I didn't get a splinter, it felt like I could pretty easily if I tried. So while I could see maybe you don't want it to be smooth so your pants stay put, I have to think it could damage the clothes also / add splinters into the fabric. I have no plans to use that center pants bar anyway as I am using these to hang light jackets, so I took the time to pull the bars off. They are held in place with two staples, one at each side. Some pulled out relatively easily, others I needed pliers to remove the tack / staple. Another thing is that this listing's photo says they are made in the usa, but there is absolutely no indication of such on the item or the packaging. The only marking on the box is the neaties logo, no box manufacturer markings, no made in USA or China. There's no paper in the box saying thanks, made in USA in some factory...etc. Inside the box are layers of two hangers and foam packing wrap in between each layer.

High quality and a joy to own. I recently redid my closet and multiple people called out these hangers as being a highlight. You owe it to yourself to replace your cheap plastic and wire hangers with these awesome hangers. Help protect your close and add enjoyment to entering your closet. I have ordered these twice and both times the package was in good shape and the hangers themselves were in good condition. Definitely nice red cedarwood was used in production and after several months they are still pleasantly scented and are holding up well. the price has gone up a bit but overall still a good value.

The cedar hangers work really well in a closet to assist with keeping moths away. Leaves the closet smelling great without the clothing taking on a strong cedar scent.

These cedar hangers are really well made. They are sanded perfectly smooth. The smooth wood still keeps clothing from slipping off, unlike plastic. These hangers are also professionally packaged so they won't scuff during shipping. Exactly what I was hoping for. There is a lovely cedar smell, not too much, just right.
