one flaw
I haven't actually use them yet (so ill update this after using) but right now I find the socks lacking in the ease of use department, they have a long string to tie them together but there isn't string on both ends. I was going to use them in a lake around a tree that fell and wanted a sock to pick up any bar oil from water. im sure I can jimmy something up to do this but shouldn't have too, it would be so easy to just deign it so they can be used together without having to "make it work"

Does not absorb oil quickly
We used this product on an oil spill clean-up job. Our goal was to keep oil from making it into the storm drains before we could collect it. The socks just floated on top of the oily water and didn't absorb a bit of the oil. Water does not pass through and after 4 hours virtually no oil was collected.
