Pretty impressed with this thermometer. Great one to add to my homebrew beer setup. Well made, accurate and shined nice and pretty.

My review is based only on the installation. After drilling the 7/8" hole in my keggle, and deburring it, I wrapped the threads with teflon tape. I then inserted the thermometer, added the rubber washer, ( my package came with 4)., then the nut, which the washer was in the groove side. I tightened the nut, filled the keg with water, and i had no leak. I used an electronic thermometer to calibrate, then made adjustments to my new thermometer.

I purchased this for my brew kettle. It mounted very easily using the washers and hardware provided. The thermometer has an adjustment screw on the back to use for calibration. I was able to calibrate it using cold water and my digital thermometer. The face is large and very easy to read. I’ve yet to use it while brewing, but am confident it will perform well. It does not come with any instructions.

I was a little concerned when I received this thermometer because I thought the design for mounting may make it leak on my brew kettle where I had drilled a hole in the brew kettle for mounting. Because there are metal washers on both sides, instead of a welded seat on one side, I thought that would allow liquid to flow down the threads and bypass the rubber washers (you get 4). So I used significant Teflon pipe tape on the threads, and did not have an issue.

Very accurate and beefy design. Had to ream out the smaller hole in my still lid, but no problem.

The item arrived promptly and though packaging had been damaged, it was undamaged. The thermometer was accurate out of the box and appears to be very good quality and easily read. Though i am yet to use it for purpose, there is every good reason to expect it will work well and be a long lasting and useful device, it is very well made and much superior to the unit i have been using up until now. I am very happy with this purchase ! thank you.
