6QT Flex Edge Beater

This did NOT fit my KitchenAid lift bowl mixer but it isn't fair to mark the item down. The quality was great. The company and delivery was on time. I reordered for a 5QT lift bowl and it works perfectly!! A good option as it scrapes the edges of the bowl. Such an improvement.

Works perfectly with my 6qt kitchenaid and way cheaper than the name brand.

Have wanted one for ages, and this one works great for a good price. It is made of powder coated metal and the silicone is bonded well. No chipping or peeling so far.

I say hope, because expectations with KitchenAid gear can be hit or miss, but I definitely have high hopes! FYI - I primarily make cookie dough with my mixer. So my old beater - the one included with the mixer, that is - the issue was that I'd have to clean the dough off of it pretty thoroughly with a spatula or something and even if you slapped it against the side of the bowl, dough is sticky. So yeah, you're there with a spatula or knife or something, scraping excess dough from the beater into the bowl. This guy solves that problem for the most part, though. You'll of course need to still scrape dough (or batter, or anything slightly wet) from the blades, but I've found that you can just swipe them directly against the rim of the bowl (like you're cleaning a spatula) and you can skip the spatula altogether - nice. My only beef is that once I've made dough I'm finding myself having to lower the bowl, pull the beater, mix the dough up a bit, then replace the beater and run it a little more to get a homogeneous dough. The butter and sometimes dry ingredients will coalesce around the point of the beater and not go anywhere, so you have to make it happen manually. That's a star. So... it's a nice beater. However rather than taking work away from the process, it moves it to another area, with the whole remixing thing. A solid 4 stars.

I have a Professional 5 Plus mixer (KV25G0X) that I really wish I had never bought. No matter how you adjust the lift of the bowl, the original beater either bangs on the bowl or doesn't come close to the sides, leaving tons of stuff you have to fold in to get your batter or whatever you're making mixed up. The only thing it's useful for is once a year for extra-large batches for Christmas, when the little bit it leaves around the sides of the bowl isn't as much of a pain. I bought this beater hoping it would work better, but it doesn't fit the mixer bowl at all. That model is not only listed in the product information as one it should fit, it's ON THE BOX!!! The top is too wide, rubbing really hard against the bowl when the mixer runs, and the bottom is nowhere near the bottom of the bowl. If I were to adjust it up so the bottom is close, it would rub so much on the sides that it would rip the rubber and burn out the motor, not to mention make a horrible racket (it scared the daylights out of my pets when I turned it on to test it like this). If I adjust it far enough down so the top of the beater isn't going to burn out the motor, the bottom would be a good half inch from the bottom of the bowl, completely useless. Do not buy this beater if you have a KV25G0X. Better yet, don't buy a KV25G0X.

This is the 2nd one of these I have purchased. The first one lasted 10 years and then one of the arms snapped. SO I came back and bought another one. These are so helpful with the Kitchen Aid mixers. Without it, you have to constantly stop the mixer and scrape the bowl down with a spatula. It is very annoying. But with these mixing blades, with the "spatula" literally attached to the mixing blade, you can just proceed with your recipe without the annoyance. I would say this item is well worth spending a little extra cash to buy it! I have the 600 Professional Series Kitchen Aid with the stainless lift bowl. This item works with it very well, and less expensive than the Kitchen Aid brand. I highly recommend this product!
