Perfect Size For The Kitchen
This is a well made 2 prong fork. It is exactly what I was wanting to use in the kitchen. I feel a 2 prong granny fork is a better choice than the 3 prong, and the 10 1/2" size is perfect - long enough, but not too long. I prefer wood handles as they don't slip and are easier to hold. The handle is thick enough & slightly tapered to be comfortable in my large ladies hand. Plus, it doesn't get hot or cold. I just keep my wooden handles oiled with a little vegetable oil now and then so they don't crack. And I never soak them in water, of course. I like everything about this fork and is more versatile than the more curved carving forks in my opinion. The prongs are sharp and pick up food easily and the shape of the prongs makes it so the food does not slip off the fork like when turning or transferring the food. I happened to have a fry pan handle mitt I wasn't using, so I slip this fork into it (like a sleeve) for storage in my kitchen drawer.

A really great, high quality, fork for cooks!
This amazing fork is truly old school in that is a well-made, heavy duty, high quality fork (think lifting a 4-pound roast or a whole chicken or turkey out of the pan in which it was cooled without the fork bending or the tines tearing through the meat because they are too thin - these tines are heavy duty!). This is the fork used at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant we recently ate at (teppanyaki chefs cook any your table and put on. show as they cook your meal). Beware of other brands that will inevitable be lighter weight or poorly constructed. This is a tool that professional chefs would be proud of.

Matches our walnut set
Should have bought this fork two years ago when we lost the one from the set we've had forever. Couldn't decide on which wood-handled fork would match best (it didn't have to be perfect, just fit well) so I bought two different Dexter Russell carver forks, intending to return the one that wasn't a match. Kept both! The wood is quality fine-grained walnut, the tines are stiff shiny stainless steel (not cheap flexible pot metal) and the length is perfect to match the hanging set. Drilled a hole in the handle, hung the fork up with the set, and regretted not buying this sooner!

Great cooking fork
I have a similar cooking fork that I bought 20 years ago and wanted a second. After searching the normal cooking stores, I could not find them locally so I went to AMZN. This fork is identical to the one I have owned for 20-years. One comment however, the wood handle is very dry and owners should treat it with mineral oil until it has the finish they like. This could take several weeks and then periodic oiling for the year until the wood develops a nice finish and loses it's dry touch. I expect this fork will outlast me!

Good quality
More expensive than I would like, but otherwise very satisfactory. The fork is solid and does not bend under load. The wood handles are not highly finished, but they offer good grip and feel. Because of the wood handles, I would not put these in a dishwasher, but then again, cleanup is so trivial that I do not consider this to be an issue. The tines do not react and are properly stainless. A quality product and I bought two.

Like the ones our parents had.
Good purchase as a surprise gift for my husband. I had to buy two, one for each hand... he's high maintenance. They are just the perfect size, well made and strong. I oiled the handles with cutting board oil. Two make it easy for lifting and turning heavy cuts of meat. They also work well as forks at Viking dinner parties. :o)

Great Forks, I'm going to buy more for camping and bushcraft.
The forks are great. I use them at home and I'm buying more for Camping and Bushcraft. If you are thinking about forks to use out in the forest when going Camping, or doing Bushcraft this is the forks to have. It reminds me of forks use by Mountain men and they kept theirs in an oil cloth roll along other cooking and eating utensils. The tines are very sharp, so if you are going to use it for Camping and/or Bushcraft please get some cork and stick the tines in to it. If you don't you may punch hold in to something including yourself.

I LOVE IT!
The tines are just the right length, not too long and not too short. They are nice and sharp. The handle is very well made and well-balanced. I like the curve to the whole fork. It really works well, is so very much like the one my grandma had, and is of great quality. Plus made in America! It is just perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.

Pretty good
Comfortable handle to hold, and the fork does its job well. Storage can be a problem: needs a wide space in a knife block, can`t be hung, shame to have something like this in a drawer.
