Is the internal frame a plastic piece that can be removed or is it a permanent piece ?

Where does the hydration pack go? I see the hole at the bottom of the bag but the zipper pocket where your back sits, cuts off from reaching it...?

The pocket is directly in the back of the bag. The spot where the back straps connect to the top of the bag, if you lift those straps up underneath is the zipper to the compartment. It's goes across the whole top of the bag. The compartment has a quarter inch to 1/2 inch foam padding that actually makes contact with your back and then the other side is where the bladder or hydration pack goes. The compartment is pretty big. I don't use it for a hydration pack. I use it to carry my 18 in laptop and it's fits perfect.

This bag looked good, and had all the features I wanted. Plus, I'd heard good things about the SOG brand. Unfortunately, its build quality is utter crap. The first bag I got, the top left tensioner clip broke as soon as I tightened the strap. As soon as it broken, the bag is unusable as the front half just flops down. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and got a replacement sent out. The replacement arrived already broken in the exact same place. Its Wish.com-quality stuff with a $150 price tag.

Great bag with lots of space and well put together, Great for bugout. The cheaper bags for $50 or so have bad stitching and fall apart. Get this bag if you want to keep it under $100.
