If you are a fan of Blokus, this is a great solo version. There are three different sets of cards. Each set has slightly different rules. There are enough cards to keep you playing for a while. This game also helps to strengthen your skills for when you play Blokus against others. I thoroughly enjoy this game!

It is a fun and challenging set of puzzles, but I did not like the fact that you get a ton of tiny pieces that you have nowhere to store. The outer box is thin cardboard, thinner than a cereal box, and it warps and the pieces fall out. They should have made a drawer under the playing field for the pieces like Think Fun puzzles have. Also, the pieces are hard to retrieve after you placed them on the board, but that might be a plus if you are a kid on the back seat on a long car trip. But then you are going to lose the other pieces anyway, because they will fall out of the box, so there.

This is a great game. We are fans of the multi-player Blokus game, so my kids were excited to try this one. It's a solitary game, which is great for when my kids want to play something, but everyone else is busy. It's easy to set up, the pieces are well made and it's very easy to play, so the kiddos really can do it solo. It takes my 8 year old about 10-15 minutes to play a game, she really likes it and wants to play it all the time. Overall, it's the fun and quality we expected given our experience with the other Blokus game we have.

However there is no cover and the pieces lay in the squares, they don't snap into place...so if you hit it or turn it over they fall out. That's a problem as there alot of pieces you don't want to lose. Also the cards/playable sheets while good are loose so a holder or case would have been nice. Also the game itself is confusing bc sometimes there is more than one way to make the pieces fit in shape requested...but when you flip to see if you match, they went with another way. That seems off. But I will take on vacation and could be a good game for older kids for road trips.

This is a fun one. My daughter saw it and was super excited to start doing the puzzle cards. It would make a nice gift-game as well - it is a good size, easy to ship, wrap, etc. Bright and colorful with a variety of challenge levels to keep you coming back for more!

We are a Blokus family - we've been playing it for years, it's still one of our favorite family games. These "solitaire" Blokus puzzles looked interesting so I ordered. There are 3 types of "challenge" cards: <1> "Connect the Blocks" <2> "Cover the Stars" and "<3> "Avoid the Xs". Each card specifies which Blokus shaped pieces you are to use to complete the challenge. This puzzle game is from Mattel but it reminded me somewhat of puzzle games from ThinkFun. I was able to solve some of these, but there were plenty that I could NOT solve, in which case I resorted to peeking at the solution on the other side of the card. I don't know if I would suggest this for someone who has not already played (and enjoyed) the original Blokus game. I do think that the packaging should be better. It is easy to lose the Blokus pieces - which are, incidentally, an absolutely lovely shade of aqua blue. I immediately lost the tiny "single square" piece - luckily I found it. I quickly put all the pieces in a baggie with a good seal. It does feel like they cheaped out a bit on the packaging - All you have is the cardboard box, some sort of travel case would have made this more portable. I think you could play this without the provided plastic grid - ie just put the pieces on top of the cards. In fact, you could play this with more than one player, as long as you choose cards that require different pieces. These are tricky and challenging puzzles, though I imagine you get the hang of it the longer you play.

This gives you some cards that then you have to try putting your shapes in between the printed pieces using blokus rules. Fun puzzle game, good for travel, but lots of small pieces in the car.

The puzzles themselves are pretty good. However, to advertise this as travel friendly is disgustingly misleading. One would think that a travel friendly game would have compartments to keep everything from going all over the place. Except that all you get is the piece shown in the product pictures. There is no where to store the cards and absolutely nowhere to keep the 21 TINY game pieces that you need. Forget about travel, this is even difficult to play at home as there is no safe place to keep everything. Great concept, but stay away!

Más blokus, ideal para si estás sólo y te apetece jugar. Muy recomendable.

Petit format qui semble pratique pour les déplacements. Pas encore testé en voiture (est-ce que les pièces vont tenir avec les remous?) Info intéressante; utilisé par un enfant qui a déjà joué plusieurs fois à la version classique.
