The scent is crisp, clean, and strong—exactly what you want when using peppermint for aromatherapy, massage, or even the occasional DIY project. A couple of drops in a diffuser is enough to fill a room with a refreshing coolness that helps wake me up in the morning or clear my head when I’m feeling sluggish. Topically, diluted with a carrier oil, it’s been great for tension headaches and sore muscles. I’ve also used a drop mixed into foot soaks after long days on my feet—the cooling menthol sensation is instant relief. An unexpected bonus has been its effectiveness at keeping ants and other little pests away when I dab it near baseboards. I appreciate Plant Therapy’s transparency with their GC-MS batch reports and their consistent quality control. While the 10 mL size feels small, it goes further than cheaper oils because it’s highly concentrated—you only need a few drops. The price is fair given the purity and potency. Bottom line: A versatile, high-quality peppermint oil that works well in diffusers, for topical relief, and even pest control. A small but mighty bottle worth keeping on hand. r5

Best thing for headaches Just a dab behind your ears

Until a few days ago, I had been using a bottle of a different brand peppermint oil I purchased from a health supplement store on a whim. I enjoyed using it in my diffuser and had no complaints. Initially, I thought peppermint was one of those scents where you couldn't possibly tell the difference between brands. I still thought that was true when I smelled this oil straight from the bottle... UNTIL I put this in my diffuser. The difference is night and day! This peppermint oil is so refreshing and energizing. I don't know if I can do it justice through my description, but the scent is cleaner and crisper. I can actually feel the tingly cooling sensation in the air. Before I purchased this peppermint oil, I had purchased Citrus Burst and Nighty Night from Plant Therapy and was pleased with the quality. That's what led me to trying more of their oils. Having done more research on different essential oil companies, I think Plant Therapy is going to be the one I purchase from exclusively when I need more oils. One of the many reasons I'm choosing PT as my favorite company is that they have the KidSafe line of essential oils. They promote safety and provide the opportunity to make educated decisions when purchasing essential oils for their children.

I originally purchased a plant therapy oil pack as I was getting into oils and peppermint was a part of the pack. I use peppermint in my blend (hair, skin, nails) & one for my oil diffuser. I also use it as a natural spray for all flying bugs in my house. I also use it as a natural air cleanser especially in the bathroom. Any bad scents are immediately taken over by the oil & water blend in a spray bottle. I have natural 4b hair and the peppermint oil in my hair & skin blend tingles and creates blood supply

Great Oil--powerful, clean scent. Heed the warning, though. This is not at all for internal use; it is so concentrated that it can cause injuries. There are many brands of peppermint oil, and Plant Therapy has a good one--made with real peppermint oil, which is Mentha Peperita, a hybrid of watermint and spearmint. According to archaeologists, peppermint has been used for over 10,000 years. Whether true or not, I've found it great for headaches (rub a dab on the temples), invigorating and relaxing at the same time. Use it for potpourri, crafts (candles and soaps)--anything but internal use. For internal use, I suggest Watkins Peppermint Extract. I don't like that they claim it is 100% peppermint when in fact it is 89% alcohol; rather misleading! But peppermint for internal use has to be diluted. Some have said their Watkins took a long time to be received from an overseas shipper. Sounds fishy. Watkins is one of the few remaining made-in-America products. I do recommend Plant Therapy essentials oils--especially the peppermint

My teenage son made lip balm as holiday gifts this year. He got the recipe from the book Simple Gifts: 50 Little Luxuries to Craft, Sew, Cook & Knit . Amazon had everything he needed to make his gifts, including these little Fantasea Acrylic Jar 3/8 oz (Pack of 12) that proved to be the most elusive ingredient in the recipe! The recipe Andrew was using called for an essential oil, and Andrew chose this Peppermint 100% Pure Essential Oil - 10 ml that despite it's very potent aroma straight from the bottle, was an excellent choice for lip balm. When part of a larger group of ingredients, it's bouquet lightened to a perfect level; not too strong and not too light. We priced essential oils at our local health food store, and Amazon's price was by far the most economical, always a plus when it's a young person footing the bill for ingredients! Some might argue that product cost less because it's not labeled as "food grade". It is labeled as "100% Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil- no fillers, additives, bases or carriers added". The recipe for the lip balm calls for heating to almost boiling, and the oil is a tiny part of the whole recipe. We felt very safe using this product for our lip balm recipe and would purchase again the next time we needed an essential oil.

I've used this topically for headache and pain relief and internally for digestive issues. The scent is lovely and refreshing.
