Graf von Faber-Castell Platinum Plated Perfect Pencil - Black

This is a truly beautiful pencil set, and I adore the quality of the lead from Faber-Castell. I am thrilled with the quality, and I love that I can take my pencil sharpener with me wherever I go, so I no longer have to worry about throwing out plastic refillable pencils when they stop working. I highly recommend this, as well as anything from Faber-Castell!

Super high quality as expected. It came with a really nice wood box that holds three pens/pencils, it’s nice enough to keep out on the desk.

After getting over my fear of possibly losing this great item, I've decided to take it just about everywhere I go. I have a good sized fountain pen collection and I've gotten pretty good about taking care of my writing tools. (Knock on wood). I must say the cap was a little larger and heaver than I expected, and compared to the cap, the actual pencil is extremely light. So much so in fact I always prefer to write with the cap posted. The graphite is also hard enough to where I don't feel like I'm blazing through the length of my pencil at lightning speed. I think this product was well worth the price. The refills on the other hand.....

Travels like a pen, sharpens like you are at your desk, and it is all class and quality

This is a great product. So much money for a pencil? Why how? Because it’s wonderfully made by hand in Germany, plated in platinum. The pencil comes with a perfectly fitted point protecting cover that can be posted like a fountain pen. The pencil comes sharpened, the end cap like most of the metal parts is plated platinum. You can unscrew the end cap to reveal a replaceable eraser. The cap looks works much like a fountain pen end cap. It has a hinged clip, removable and replaceable sharpener. Lift the end of the cap and it snaps to reveal the sharpener. Twist the very top of that sharpener to replace it. As you can see all parts are replaceable making this a product that will last a lifetime. All items are well made and will last for ages.

The finish on this is spectacular and it's form and function perfect.

Wonderful luxury item for pen lovers, crossword addicts, people who like to use their pencils all the way down. It is back-heavy posted, but I like that.

E' vero, costa ma e' un oggetto davvero bellissimo, adatto a chi ama scrivere a matita e non con la mina. L'unico dubbio che ho e' che la matita non e' lunghissima e, scrivendo molto, si consuma abbastanza velocemente. Il cappuccio e' piuttosto grosso e pesante: quando la matita sara' quasi esaurita, sembrera' di girare con il solo cappuccio, oppure bisogna munirsi di molti ricambi...

Ein Produkt so zu nennen könnte man schon als Hybris bezeichnen, trotzdem scheint es dieser Beschreibung nahe zu kommen. Bei meinem Vater liegt ein mittlerweile angelaufenes Ur Modell auf dem Schreibtisch, mich hat es von klein auf begeistert und hab mich "jetzt", trotz des hohen Preises, dafür entschieden. Ich bin nicht tatsächlich nicht der typische am-Schreibtisch-Sitzer, sondern arbeite in rauher Werkstatt Umgebung, und auch hier gibt der Bleistift beste Performance ab. Spitze ist geschützt, bei Bedarf kann man direkt nachspitzen, mal eben eine Skizze geht schnell von der Hand. Damit in der Tasche braucht man nicht immer zum Arbeitsplatz zurücklaufen. Dank der wertigen Haptik hat man ihn gerne in der Hand, so wird er schnell zum ständigen Begleiter. Als Begleit Anmerkung: der perfekte Bleistift meines Vaters ist von Design her minimal anders, kein Spitzer in der Kappe, sondern das Radiergummi, am Ende des Bleistiftes nur eine Silberkappe, dadurch ist die Kappe ein wenig kleiner, was mir allerdings etwas besser gefällt ist, dass man den Bleistift nicht beim hereinschieben direkt verklemmt, sondern ein Schlitz in der Kappe ist und man den Bleistift quasi mit einem Überwurf Ring festklemmt.

Lovely and smooth to write with, also good for sketching. The platinum plated Perfect Pencil arrived beautifully presented in a white wraparound case, revealing a wooden case made from alderwood. Hand-built, perfect in every way and a good investment.
