About 8 months ago, my girlfriend came home from work and told me I had to buy this. She was ready to jump some guy she worked with because he was doused in it. She was joking, of course... or was she? Anyway... So I bought a bottle of this stuff and I didn't like it. It smelled a little bit too much like "old guy" for my taste. I tend to get Hugo Boss, Acqua Di Gio - Giorgio Armani, and Tommy Hilfiger Cologne... stuff more associated with "my" generation. We broke up a while ago, but we're on good terms. And we're on much better terms when I stop by wearing Black Suede. Funny how that works out. This might also factor into your way of thinking when choosing a cologne, so for your information, she's 37 and I'm 30. I think it might not be the right cologne for you if your S.O. is 20 years old, but it's really a case-by-case scenario. I'd be giving it 4 stars just because I would never buy this for myself without knowing how crazy it made her. I like to smell good to MYSELF also. But hey, if she loves it, it's an instant 5. It has done its job. If you want the technical review, it's long lasting and it smells the way a musky cologne should smell, as far as I can tell.

I bought the other one as well...Wild Country. I prefer this one over the Wild Country because it smells sexy and more evening wear but can also be used daily for sure. The value of both along with the quantity you get for the price is epic. AVON knocked it out of the park with these two. They both replaced my other daily colognes.

My ol' lady got me two of these years ago. It's the first men's "toilet water"/cologna I have ever liked enough to wear frequently. It's also the first/only one that's caused a number of ladies to tell me I smelled good. Unprompted compliments, from gals I never met, ~half of 'em wearing a wedding ring, leave me to conclude it just smells that good to them, as it does to me. It's not that cloying, almost greasy scent that too many men's colognes have. It depends somewhat on your body chemistry. Some fellas just cannot wear any scent, or shouldn't anywho. Me, the ladies in my life have told me I'm one of the 'can's', everything from patchouli and other essential oils to the cheap drugstore things, but if -I- don't like the smell of it on me, I'm nawt wearing it. Anywho, the scent lingers for several hours, and after that time it's still evident if I sweat a lilbit. It doesn't require a lot of it to be enuff, so the bottle lasts a long time. Please, guys, don't overdo it, too dang many do, and too many ladies'll notice. A gentle fragrance is great, and sufficient. It comes in a glass bottle that's a bit heavier than most, which is then packaged well before Amazon gets it, packing it further, so it's extremely unlikely you'll get a box 'o carp to open. I can't recommend this stuff more. It's the only one I'll wear, have for many years. Try it, y'all! I gave this 4 of 5 stars. Four stars is generally my top rating. I reserve the rare fifth star for stuff/sellers that in some way substantially exceed my expectations. I almost gave this 5/5, but I'm stingy.

Smells good and my hubby would wear nothing else!!

Man I should have bought this product a long time ago! I didn't know how good it smells! it is very very good. I encourage every man out there to buy it the black suede from Amazon because it is a very good price and it's so good, so go ahead buy it for Amazon okay? you're going to love this product, you're going to love this cologne.
