Trangia 1 Litre Fuel Bottle with Safety Valve for Liquid Fuel Camping Stove (Bottle is empty inside)

What a great product. I have 3 of these now, although this is my first green version. I think they're great value for money. If you need to store spirit fuel, I can't think of a better way of doing it. They're not heavy, don't leak and the design of the valve provides a confidence that you're storing the spirit safely. Although my bottle is the 1 litre size, it doesn't quite hold 1 litre of fuel if you keep the contents below the 'max line'. Maybe 0.8 or 0.9 litres is possible though. The bottle itself is made of high density Polyethylene and I couldn't see any reference to it being made of aluminium in the description, so I don't know why someone would down grade it for not being so. The safety valve is a two stage process. The black cap on top is twistable. Turn it anti-clockwise to open the valve. Then, when you're ready to dispense, simply push the cap down to release the fuel. When you release the cap, the fuel flow stops. The funnel is bi-directional, so either end will dispense the fuel (the other end then acting as a vent to allow smooth operation). Turn the cap clockwise to then completely seal the fuel in the bottle. This will allow the bottle to be stored horizontally, vertically or upside down, if you wish, without compromising the fuel. It's a great design. You might get some residual fuel in the funnel causing a little smell, but this will dissipate over time.

Excellent, good quality item from a renowned brand with a self - sealing valve, 100% leak- proof. My only negative would be that it is expensive for what it is. These are on offer from time to time but I paid £15.95 for mine but then it is a branded item. Does exactly what it is supposed to do with excellent build quality

Absolutely fantastic quality and makes refilling and carrying fuel so much easier and also can be put down the front of your trousers to impress the lady's.

Extremely sturdy bottle with a unique valve system to dispense your meths, won't leak or get squashed....if it does get squashed I'd hazard a guess that you have also been squashed. Excellent product and highly recommended!

i have seen others use this i brought bio fuel for use in my trangia, bio fuel comes with fitted in-built pour spout, spilt it trying to fill burner spirit all over burner not good. this is where this comes into its own, fill it with fuel of your choice screw on cap, then tighten down button on top fuel safely stored in sturdy bottle. Using child play unscrew top safety button hold over burner and push the button, fuel delivered into your burner no mess not spill, release button to stop fuel simple.

Really handy to have a smaller bottle for the alcohol stove. It's been solid leak free and due to it's size great for day walks or overnight camps.

I got the 300ml version to carry fuel for my lighter, handwarmers and camping stove. The fuel I use is a refined unleaded petrol essentially so it's very dangerous stuff. This is perfect. Once you've filled it up, you screw the red ring down which works as an effective lock (to throw in backpack without too much worry). When it come to use it, once you've unscrewed the stopper, you press on the top for the liquid to come out. Essentially, this works to eliminate absent-mindedness and spillage at each step. It's so well designed thousands of people wrote a review before me.

Ideal um zusätzlich Spiritus für seinen Trangia zu transportieren. Das Behältnis ist relativ dickwandig und dadurch vermutlich zerstörungssicher. Natürlich auch absolut auslaufsicher und geruchsdicht was unangenehme Gerüche im Rucksack verhindert und natürlich auch kein Gesuppel, aber wäre die Flasche nicht dicht, hätte sie wohl ihren Zweck verfehlt. Die Zuschüttmenge kann reguliert werden, je nachdem wie weit man den Schraubverschluss öffnet. Durch das Drücken auf den Flaschenkopf lässt sich die Flüssigkeit dann ausschütten, also selbst durch versehentliches lockern des Schraubverschlusses kann zunächst keine Flüssigkeit entweichen. Alles in allem ein solides Produkt, leider nicht ganz preiswert, wenn man bedenkt, dass der Liter Spiritus bei etwa 2 Euro liegt, trotzdem sollte man nicht unbedingt das Behältnis in seine Tasche stecken, besser eine Sicherheitsflasche, daher eigenltich ein MUSS.
