Works at advertised. I bought this laser to add an alingment jig to a measuring device. The product comes in a little baggie with a spec sheet and a warning sticker. One 5v wall wart later and you've got a working laser. Red light is strong and clear for up to a few meters away. Our application is all close work, so I couldn't tell you the limit in a fully lit room. I'd buy another if I needed a second one.

Purchased this to use on my CNC for setting the X and Y zero point. Super easy to install. Used a 3 AA battery pack. Brightness is excellent. Takes only a couple seconds to zero the X and Y axis. Definitely recommend.

Wanted to use this for my CNC machine. But after getting it installed in my spindle head in a 3/8 collet. The light body unit is perfectly centered, however the internal diode light is not. When I spin the motor spindle, the light wobbles and is not centered. They need better quality control when assembling these units.

Using this to pinpoint spots on my wood before carving on my CNC machine. Works like I wanted. Nice laser!

I bought this to replace the laser head position indicator (no idea what it is really called, but it is the "laser pointer" that shows where the head of a laser engraver is focused) for my laser engraver. This item works fine and is of decent construction. It didn't fit my factory mount, but a quick run over at the drill press fixed that. The main issue I have is that the "cross line" lines are WAY too wide to be used as a position indicator for a laser engraver. The lines are about 3mm wide at the cross point for the focal distance for my machine, which results in a 9mm2 (9 square mm) laser head positioning indicator. That doesn't sound bad, but when your tolerance for a job is less that 1mm, trying to locate exact center in a 9mm2 area becomes problematic. This item may work great for you...but only if you do not have a laser engraver you are trying to install it in.
