Why is my order is "out for delivery" in oregon instead of south dakota.

I had an order do the same saying it was "out for delivery" in Portland, OR which is nowhere near me. I immediately figured I should give up hope of ever seeing it because Portland, OR is a crime ridden hole, but within 24 hours it had updated to show it had arrived at a facility there, and was still on the way. Pretty sure its just computer glitches.
