You can't go wrong with this Cosmic encounter expansion! It adds even more replayability to a game that is already almost endless in its' possibilities. If you play with this expansion, I would recommend replacing the aliens in the original game for the first few playthroughs so you get the most out of this experience, and then later on eventually mixing everything together. The chaotic nature of this game is actually what makes it so exciting; you never know who is going to win, even up to the last turn.

Easily my favorite game in my collection. When you add all 6 expansions together, the game becomes so in depth with the many different in game mechanics and the random abilities of the cards

The core game is good so I ventured out on a limb to get this add on. It adds more aliens and an extra player. It gets more intense at times with the added aliens in the mix.

All these expansions are great - so well made. If you customize the box, you can fit all of them in to the original box. Great game. Expensive, but yeah - great game and well made.

Ok, I played this a bunch of times in college. Always loved it. This edition - with all the expansions - is actually worth the $100. I would NEVER pay that kind of money for game. Seriously this is the best - way better than the original and that is saying a LOT. We play it with our teenage son and he loves it. Great for anyone who is bored of Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, etc. It can be complicated, but that is half the fun. Start out without Flares, special powers etc. Just wait til you say "I lose. . . so I win . . . but I won . . .so you're gonna make us do it again . . .so show me your cards . . . but now you get to play my card for me . . . I'm gonna ooze out". Fun times!

Cosmic Encounter is a simple game that can be a ton of fun with a good group of people. This expansion adds more races to the mix, which obviously means that there are new ways to change the rules and offer new possibilities. And that is where this game is fun. It's not a deep strategy game where you have to think hard about what you are doing. You draw a card to find out who you will attack, try to coax others into allying with you, and then using your special abilities see what happens in the attack. Then its the next person's turn. But that's what makes this a great game for groups to while away some time. This adds new powers, which is always good to keep the game fresh. I expect to eventually get all the expansions. They're worth it.
