If you have a key fob that is broke or on its way this product will solve the problem. It’s easy to assemble. It fits as it should. It’s not cheap thin plastic. It will protect your key tightly. The case allows the buttons to function as they should. It’s very durable worth the price.

My old key case was very delicate due to age, and this worked really well to revamp it. I will say, getting the key blade in the case is very difficult. Be prepared to fight it a bit. Not sure if it's the casting but it's very tight.

Horande Keyless Entry Remote Control Key Replacement Key Fob Cover Shell is a Tough Job but the cost is low. To complete the job, you have to insert the key "A" into the plastic part "B" to make "C" ( see diagram ). But the slot for "B" is much too small for the insertion. It took me one hour of careful grinding with a Dremel kit with a drill bit to enlarge the slot of "B" enough and not breaking it to fit the Key "A" in. You can do it with a drill too I guess. But of course, the final part looks great and works.

It works and seems secure. It is VERY tight to get the blade in and everything together, so you have to be careful pressing the blade in the holder and then pressing the case together. No instructions came with it, but it is pretty self explanatory. Press / tap the blade from your old key in the semilunar widget thing and make sure the screw hole is lined up. Then place your old remote assembly in the new case. There is a tab inside the "key ring" portion that has to line up and lock that end, so do that first, then firmly press the other (blade) end of the case together and while holding together firmly, place and tighten the screw. There is a small gap between the edges of the case as others have said, but I don't think this really impairs function or durability or anything. If it really mattered to you, a little careful plastic trimming with a razor blade probably would eliminate it. The buttons are also recessed a bit more than the original case, but they are not hard to push, and may help prevent inadvertent activation in purse or pocket. Overall, for the price, and not having to get a key cut, or involve the dealer, its perfect.

The device seems to work, but the halves want to separate and the (self-taping) screw holding the halves together is either not long enough or the hole is slightly too big. After six weeks it became difficult to press the lock/unlock buttons as they were recessed to far as the halves were splitting. Good thing that there were 2 replacement fobs in the order. Bad thing that it happened again almost immediately

Fits ok with a little force, but not perfect.

This key fob cover was a perfect fit for my Lexus. The shell snapped together securely, the buttons feel solid, and it looks just like the original. Much cheaper than buying a full new fob, and it gave my old worn-out remote a brand new look. Highly recommend if your OEM shell is cracked or faded.
