Fabric Shaver and Lint Remover, Battery Operated Portable Fabric Shaver, Pink

I got this for my daughter and granddaughter and they used it immediately upon receipt. I have one also. They work great I think for removing pilling which smooths out fabrics and makes them look a little newer and less well worn. The shaver is easy to use and to hold, doesn't vibrate while using and is very quiet. Works well on all fabrics, polyester, acrylic, poly blends, sweaters, pants, sweatshirts, pjs, flannels but I personally wouldn't use it on fine lingerie, but otherwise, knock yourself out.

Great purchase-good quality- worth the money

I have to admit that I’ve become so jaded that my expectations were low despite the large number of generally positive reviews for this fabric shaver. I also have to say that this product far exceeded those rock bottom expectations to the extent that I can’t believe every household doesn’t have one of these things, especially for the price. When we got married, my husband had a pill and fuzz remover that just didn’t work, and I foolishly just assumed that all products in that category produced similar (terrible) results. Nearly 30 years later, I am pleasantly surprised to be wrong. First off, this fabric shaver is well made, and it’s intuitive to use. There are three settings on the shield for different fabrics, or you can remove the shield all together if you want to get really close to the fabric you’re dealing with. The battery compartment is secure, but not so secure that you need special tools to pry it open, and the lint compartment slides on and off easily. You do have to check the lint compartment frequently as it fills up quickly and can prevent the blades from turning. It would also be nice if it came with some kind of tool to reach down into the lint trap to really clean it out as well as brush off the blades, but I just used the brush that came with my electric razor, and that worked pretty well. Because I did have to stop so frequently, it took me about two hours to thoroughly remove all of the pills on two of my sweaters that had gotten to the point that I only wore them around the house, but the effort was well worth it. I was able to return both to a state that I am no longer embarrassed to be seen in public in them. Even if this little gadget dies tomorrow, it was far cheaper than buying two new sweaters, so I’m already ahead of the game.

I don't know what has taken me so freaking long to buy one of these. Now that I have one - I'm always going to own one. And for under $15? I'm so speechless by how awesome this is. I am not wealthy by any means. I buy low clothing off of --- you guessed it --- amazon!!! But unfortunately some of the cheap clothes I buy don't last long. They start pulling and feeling very rough, and the colors start to fade as a result. They look pretty shabby after about 2 months. Well, I was just thinking about how many clothes I was going to have to dispose of when I decided to try a fabric shaver. Like this one! I purchased this and used it when I was watching TV the night it arrived. I tried it on a nightie I bought from Walmart that has pills inside and outside of it. I started on the inside- and it turned this awful feeling fuzzy fabric into smooth and silky material again. Within seconds. Within 2 minutes I finished the whole nightie. I'm now working on my 4th piece of clothing and so grateful for this little gadget. I will probably buy another because I'm way too impulsive when I really like something but I'm ridiculously happy with it! From the ease of use (seriously- just basically insert batteries - then turn on!) to how effective it is at bringing old clothes back to life - this is a game changer for me.

OMG! This sweater shaver really works greatly!! I owned one years ago that never worked well and required D batteries; got rid of it. Then recently noticed one of my favorite sweatshirts (purchased on a family vacation) was really looking badly. The whole thing was balling up. I read lots of reviews and opted for this (in pink) - specifically because it uses AA batteries. Surprisingly, it work’s amazingly well! You would think it would have less power with smaller batteries, but it is much faster (blades spin faster) than my old heavy clunky one. This device quickly ate up all the pills on the sweatshirt and now the fabric is smooth and looks like it did when I bought it. Also, since it uses AAs it makes the machine lighter so your hand doesn’t get tired.

I opened this and put two freshly charged eneloop AA batteries and? It was hopelessly underpowered, could barely take ANY lint off without bogging down tremendously. I was instantly going to return it, but I decided to take a crack at putting an 18650 battery in here as the voltage is around the nominal value of two AA batteries in series. So I disassembled it, took out the cover safety switch, rewired in a single 18650 battery holder directly inline with the switch, did some dremelwork to make it fit, and voilà, the thing is NOW AN AMAZING POWER MACHINE. It lasts well over 30-40 minutes on a battery, doesn't bog down for anything, and it's so good now, you have to empty the lint canister every minute of use. I'm not kidding about that. 30 seconds to a minute and it's full. Don't get ur beard caught in there lol. Oh, and don't try this at home!

Loved it as it made our sofa spread again look new. Paid only AED 44 for a pink version. What I don't like is that it took us ages to clean it and two sets of batteries. Best suited for clothes I guess. Would be great if it was chargeable.

me encanto, es facil de usar, no tiene muchos botones ni mucha tecnologia complicada va al punto, esta bonita, no pesa nada, lo unico malo es que funcionan con bateria normal, hice 2 o 3 pjs completas de invierno, y con eso se me acabo la bateria, pero estaban llenas de bolitas, tanto que ya picaban y pense que las iba a tener que tirar. Tiene un botecito que es a donde se van las pelusas y ese lo tienes que estar vaciando porque si se llena, la maquina simplemente no prende. No es callada pero tampoco enfada el sonido. Pero si funciona, y es como relajante el proceso y ver el antes y despues.

Too big to hold and keep it

Es fácil de usar, las pilas con un adecuado uso pueden durar algunas piezas al limpiar. Estar corroborado el contenedor de almacenamiento. Y estar limpiado constantemente el extractor plateado.

Was previously using my moms fabric shaver from the 80s, this one works much better. I purchased to use on my couch. I was done the whole couch in 30 mins. Works really well. Only complaint is the fuzz collector is small and the fuzz doesn’t travel all the way down. Would bunch up at the top and have to be emptied.
