I always order the brand-name IBM typewriter ribbon.
I have an IBM typewriter and use it regularly. I am happy Amazon sells parts for this as I know there is not much demand for them and happy I can find what I need at Amazon.

Great Buy!
My elderly mother still uses an IBM typewriter for notes and envelopes, and the ribbons have been difficult to locate. Fortunately, I found these. The were perfect, inexpensive, and shipping was free through Prime. Perfect! My mother is ecstatic!

Quality product
I've purchased this for my '92 year old grandfather's typewriter. He is a minister and still types of sermons on a typewriter. I installed this for him and it works perfectly.

IBM Wheelwriter Typewriter Ribbon
I am not sure if this is the Mylar ribbon I purchased or the other one I purchased. They both had their good points and the deficient points. The Mylar gave a darker print but the print can be lifted from the paper with a piece of Scotch tape. The other ribbon sticks to the paper better but it is not as dark nor as sharply defined a print.

Works as expected!
Glad I checked on Amazon. I bought a used typewriter for $5, and it needed a ribbon. I didnโt need a typewriter often, but when I do, now I have one!
