Cool and functional!
After owning these for about five years now, I can safely say that these are great quality and function well. They took some getting used to after playing with older DW 5000's but in a good way. These are very responsive and can be fine-tuned to your liking - in both the double pedal or two-singles configurations.Only four stars because the rubber pads that are attached to the screw heads that support the kick drum dried out and cracked and constantly fall off. But this is the only beef I've got.

Greatest Pedals Ever
Trick Drums Dominator Double Pedals are the highest quality drum pedals out there. They're the best pedals I have ever used. I've been playing since 1985 and I've tried every single and double pedal through the years and had some that were awful and some that worked just fine for me for years. Drum pedals are a very important part of the drummer and they have to move when you need it and I find that chain pedals just have too much lag-with direct-drive it's always there with every move. Nowhere will you find this type of tension adjustment, quick drum clamp, different drum beater features, heavy drive-shaft like no other, long boards plus it has every adjustment available so you can set it up how you like to play. Worth every dollar, considering what's out there in price, you get what you pay for. You will never find another set of pedals built like this. Trick uses the greatest quality parts and you will feel it when you play. If you can't play, these pedals might not be for you, everyone has different preferences on what they like to use or what they can afford to use. Just keep playing and you will know for yourself what is for you. For me? I will put my money into these Trick Dominators any day.

WASTE OF MONEY
Overpriced is the one word I can describe this pedal. After dealing with chain drive (such as Iron Cobra and etc...) I felt like I needed to switch. After playing on Trick's Dominator Double Pedal for about 5 years now, I can say with confidence I have played on better pedals that were $100. Unless you have triggers, these pedals do not help your playing at all. I am now going back to chain drive because of this pedal. After toying around around with this pedal, adjusting the settings, it is still a terrible pedal. Please consider another pedal to purchase.

Expensive, yet worth it
It's hard to describe the difference between these pedals and standard $200 double pedals. I wasn't sure how drastic the difference could be, but it's night and day. These things are SMOOTH. You can feel the build quality when you open the package and set it up. Everything fits perfectly and all the adjustments just work. These pedals don't instantly make you better, but it's so much easier to get fast and consistent on these than standard pedals. With consistent practice the ceiling for speed is higher than on standard pedals, without question. I find when I practice I can much more clearly feel how I need to adjust my footing and technique to improve. My previous pedals always felt inconsistent and like I couldn't get better without absurd amounts of practice. These pedals don't make you better, but they ensure that the only thing holding you back is your technique; not the pedal's build quality. Highly recommend if you have the budget.

Worth every single penny...
These pedals are simply stunning. I got them out of the box and immediately was floored by how incredibly smooth they were and how rigid and sturdy they felt. I have had them for a few weeks, and though I still have quit a bit of improving to do with these monsters, I can say with confidence that I WILL NOT be buying and other pedals any time in the near future, if ever. These things are fast, smooth, really well balanced for a double pedal (not perfect, but about as close as you will ever find). If you are looking for a fast pedal/s that gives you the highest efficiency out of your swings, then this is the pedal for you.

Well crafted - smooth action
These pedals are as advertised. I haven't tried the V-1 or Axis Pedals, or the DW machine drive either. But compared to chain-driven pedals, and though it takes some time to adjust, these direct drive pedals offer more control and speed without sacrificing power. They appear to be made for the long haul as well. Nothing die cast, all machined parts, mostly aluminum alloy. The round metal beaters pack a punch too. My 22" birch bass drum never sounded better.
