NoSalt Original Sodium-Free Salt Alternative, 11 oz

I can't tell the difference. This has been a tremendous help with eating less salt. Tastes great!

Couldn't believe the "salty" taste with sodium!

I love salt! I used to sit by my dad at the dinner table and he would cover everything with salt so I used to do the same. Since I starting using the NoSalt I cut the real salt out of my diet completely... except for popcorn! I love that I can salt something and if I need to salt it again I don't have to feel guilty or worry that I am hurting myself. I would definitely stand behind this product 100%.

This taste like real salt, we cannot tell the difference. It was quite a surprise.

I came broken. The salt is leaking out of the bottom. It must have been broken before it was shipped. It was all wrapped in Cellophane

I started using this in my cooking to control my high Bp and it worked. So 3 stars for that. But later I realized that the quantity I put in my curries shouldn’t be same as regular table salt Else it makes that food taste awful! I use very very less amount and can’t be used on salads or foods which we aren’t heating/cooking. That will taste bad, do bad!!!

The thing about taste is that people have different receptors. Some people will be revolted by licorice, others love it. This is much the same thing. It's not salt, because potassium, though a salt, doesn't taste the same as salt. That applies to everyone. But for some people, potassium has a very salt-like flavor. The biggest point, though, is that if you're looking for a salt substitute, you'll probably do better with spices than potassium salts. There's more consistency in flavor across folks with spices than potassium. But if you have low potassium levels, and/or need to be on a salt-restricted diet, it's at least worth trying out. For a variety of reasons, I have chronic low potassium and can't eat enough of the things that have potassium in them to keep it up at normal levels. This stuff works VERY well at doing that, without the need (and bother and cost) of prescription potassium tablets. I'm also fortunate enough to have it taste, for me, much like (but not identical to) sodium chloride (AKA: Salt). If you're taking potassium supplements and using this stuff, that could be very bad for you, since too much is actually worse than not enough. So, it's going to be hit or miss. The reviews are accurate, if somewhat unhelpful in explaining why it has the rating it has. The amount of money they're charging here is less than most co-pays for medications (it is for me, at least, and I have a small co-pay), and can stand in place of a potassium supplement (check with your physician about that first!). If you need a low/no salt diet, it could be what you're missing. So like I said, it's worth a try. You don't want to use this stuff if you don't NEED TO, but if you do have a reason, then give it a shot. If it doesn't work out for you, and you have a friend who might need it, have them try it. You won't know if it will work for you until you try it, so in all honesty, the reviews here "It's good and "it's awful" are completely unhelpful in making that decision. I hope this sheds some light on that whole thing.

I've been using this for "snake juice" while doing extended fasts to get my electrolytes. I'll definitely be purchasing it again.
