Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, Leg Spray-On Makeup, Medium Glow 4.4 Oz

I don’t normally write reviews, but this product had so many reviews that threw me off when reading them, that I thought this review might help. First, I want to say that this is an excellent product if you understand what it is and what its purpose is. This is a body makeup, not a sunless tanner! While it can, and does give a sun kissed glow like a sunless tanner, its uses and properties are vastly different. I got the “fairest” shade and it makes my very light skin look nicely tanned. It’s not a deep dark tan, but very close to my normal sun-tanned shade. I bought this product because, after multiple pregnancies, I have many unsightly veins on my legs that make me self conscious when my legs are visible. So let me highlight this product: 1.) It is a water resistant makeup foundation. It is not totally soap proof so you might see minor steaks after showering, it is not at all difficult to touch up and blend the streaks out. 2.) It is buildable until you get the coverage you need, or desire. The color does deepen the more layers you put on. I don’t find it necessary to use more than two layers. 3.) Since it is not a sunless tanner, it dries quickly and does not rub off on clothing once it is dry. Many reviewers mentioned mixing it with other lotions or lotioning the areas you normally lotion before using sunless tanners (elbows, knees, around feet and ankles, palms). This is not necessary or recommended. I believe this contributes to the many reviews that complained of it rubbing off. The other lotions disturb the adhesion of the foundation. 4.)The color you achieve after putting it on is the color it will stay. It does not develop over time like a sunless tanner. This makes it very easy to get flawless even coverage. The coverage I have achieved is not complete coverage, (I don’t believe you could cover a tattoo with it), but it does vastly improve discolorations and unsightly veins. The improvement is enough that I feel comfortable when my legs are visible. 5.) While it is marketed to the legs, this can be used beautifully on any area of the body including the face. 6.) It can be easily exfoliated away when you are finished with it. 7.) No special care is necessary when using your hands to put it on. It will wash off your hands with soap and water. 8.) I have received many compliments saying my legs have never looked so good!

I took a chance on the medium shade even though a lot of comments said it was orange.. Not true really! Yes, it maybe darker than your own skin color but that's the point if you want it for a self tanner but in my opinion better because it has flawless coverage leaving your skin looking really nice with a sun-kissed color. Dries quick and is not heavy or sticky like face foundation can be. I put on lotion in the morning and then apply some t9 my legs and arms and chest. It dries fast and get dressed for the day. Looking and feeling confident. I'm switching to this instead of my usual weekly self tanner. This is prettier on my skin and I can walk it of at night before bed or not. No transfer to clothes or bedding Yay! Love!! If you have really fair skin get the fair or mix in some medium for a little sun-kissed look.. enjoy 😉

After years of sun exposure my legs are covered with dark sun spots, which makes me very self-conscious about wearing anything that shows my legs. While I was at a high school reunion and feeling awkward about this (it was in Hawaii), my daughter recommended this leg makeup. I bought some and tried it, and was quite impressed. It is better than self-tanner which makes the spots darker, and it does not have the obnoxious after-smell. It is temporary (comes off in the shower or bath), and it does rub off on clothes. I let it "dry" for over an hour, instead of a minute, and it colored the inside hems of my shorts. With a pre-wash spray, the color did come off. But it gives my legs a soft light tan that works for the hot days of summer. UPDATE: This rubs off on dark pants as well as light colored shorts or jeans or slacks, even if I let it "set" for 3 hours. It will also leave a residue in your shower/tub when it washes off.

I don’t usually write reviews but this stuff is amazing. I had several vein treatments on my legs that left them looking bruised and veins showing. I’m so self conscious about how ugly I think my legs look. They’re toned and have potential but the veins and damage from procedures 5 yrs ago it annoying. I use self tanner and body makeup. They help a little but the damage is still visible. I’ve spent 100s of dollars trying to find something and recently tried this one. It goes on perfectly. It covers everything and doesn’t look weird. Some veins are really dark so I sprayed this on the specific spot and let it dry for a few minutes and then blended the edges with a makeup brush and poof! Gone! I haven’t gotten my legs wet yet so I can’t speak to how they hold up in water but who cares? I followed the instructions and allowed it to dry for a while bf dressing and don’t see any residue on my shorts. I can’t express how happy I am with this product and it’s under $10. I tried to find larger bottles but wasn’t able to so I ordered a two pack already.

I golf a lot, so my feet are white compared to the rest of me, and this is my go-to when I wear sandals. This spray is incredible and doesn’t come off unless you wash it off. It’s stayed on while paddle boarding and even after wearing socks. The color is great and matches perfectly with my tan! It goes on smoothly, but I still use my hands to make sure it’s evenly blended and rubbed in between my toes. Absolutely love this stuff! The only downside is that the spray gets everywhere, so I’ve found it’s best to stand in the shower and clean off the overspray with a soapy loofah, lay down a big towel you don’t care about, or, my favorite, just stand outside on the grass so there’s no cleanup.

I was pleasantly surprised with this leg makeup. Warning: it goes on shockingly orange! But I apply it with some body lotion to my legs/feet and rub it in really well and the color softens and evens out beautifully. For me, it’s better than self-tanning lotion, which never gave me much color and could easily get streaky. I haven’t experienced any streaking with Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, just terrific coverage and great color. It doesn’t feel sticky, either. It’s easily removed with soap and water. I highly recommend it.

When applied as directed (spray into hand then blend onto legs) the product is transparent. It reminded me of a self-tanner's guide tint. It's very orangey and it builds up over any rougher skin (also like self tanner). No coverage just a orange-tan tint. So I waited for it to dry (it dries so fast when used as directed I could barely blend it) and then attempted a second coat. It just rubbed off the first coat and gave weird streaky results. Then I tried spraying it directly from the can onto my leg (over the bathtub, it was a mess). That gave me full coverage but it was super orange-tan-- there's no possibility of me being able to wear it out that way. My legs wouldn't match my arms, face, neck. Furthermore, it's been 30 mins and it's still wet. It does dry down to a slighty less orange color, but still far too dark. I gave it two stars instead of one because the product sprayed well and there were no off putting fragrances or chemical smells. The product didn't irritate my skin. It washed off my hands easily with soap and warm water. If you have perfect skin on your legs and feet and just want a bit of a tan without committing to self tanner-- this is the product for you. Edit/Update: due to sudden illness that prevented me showering for appr 72 hrs after applying this, I want to give this product an extra star. It stays put! Even the stupid thick layer directly from the can. I had pristine white sheets on my bed and I was sweating, feverish, restless, kicking sheets on and off: but there was no sign of transfer at all. But when I did shower, soap and water took it right off. I'm beyond impressed. But it's still too dark and too transparent for my legs when used as directed.

I admit it. This stuff is a little bit of a pain in the butt to apply. But that is mostly around my ankles. It's fairly easy to apply on the legs themselves. I have to work fast as it dries pretty fast. I see that a lot of people are saying there is no way this is a light color, but I also see the photos they submit. It looks like they are putting way too much on. One picture showed more product on the thigh than I use for both legs. As far as the orangey look goes, again, I think it depends on how much you apply. I apply a pretty thin coat so I don't get that orangey look. Does it completely cover dark blue/green veins? No, but it does make them not show as bad. I have those ugly brown spots on my legs from all the years of laying out in the sun with no protection. Because I use such a small amount of this product and apply it really thin, it does not completely hide the spots. But, it absolutely makes them look a lot better. Someone would have to be looking really close at my legs to see the brown spots when I have this on. With my dresses, it looks like I have on a natural color pair of pantyhose. It takes a little effort, but it works well for me. (Don't believe them when they say it doesn't transfer. It does if you sweat, or if you rub hard against something, or laying on your bed to watch tv. I wouldn't lay on light sheets or bedspreads, or wear white shorts. Make sure you let it dry completely before getting dressed.)

This product really exceeded my expectations. I didn’t think it was going to work, but it did. It also didn’t wash off in the pool!

Not damaged my clothes, stayed for the whole day , water resistant.. make sure to buy the right shade
