DampRid Lavender Vanilla Hanging Moisture Absorber, 3 Pack, for Fresher, Cleaner Air in Closets

I live in Florida and there's a lot of moisture, I hate the smell of the house when it gets musty from humidity. For several years I've been going away for a month on vacation. Many people leave their A/C on low when they go away, but I would worry the house may catch on fire. Usually when I went away and came home the house smelled really musty. Then I found out about DampRid. Last time before I went away on vacation for a month, I bought half a dozen pots (the cheapest kind) of DampRid, and put them in the rooms, and also put scented sachets around the house. When I got home after my vacation, the house smelled lovely, and there was no damp from the humidity, instead the pots of water, with DampRid that was still working. I've been using it for a few years now, it really works well. Recently I bought this DampRid Hanging Moisture Absorber to put in my closet, I've been using it for a week and have noticed a difference, it's not overpowering at all, just a gentle pleasent clean whiff! The top part of the product (under the hanger) has the DampRid in it. Then there's a flat area undernieth that the moisture drips into. Already there's about an inch of liquid that had dripped down. I was worried there would be a mess, but it is all contained. To think the moisture would have been on my clothes without this. I've ordered several more of these because I don't want to be without them. Three in a box is a better buy than buying them individually. **UPDATE** I paid $7.97 only just recently, I just noticed it's gone up in price already to $19.55, I thought I was seeing things. I'm glad I got it when I did, I would never pay that much, I would get the cheap ones in the pots they are as good but if they tip over they could be messy, just have to be careful.

Damp rid is the best product for removing moisture from damp areas in your home. I have used this product for years and have always had success. No mess or stickiness, works easily just hanging in area needed. Long lasting ingredients are natural with no issues for allergy sufferer

There is a horrible amount of humidity in my apartment and these babies save all my belongings! I keep on in the closet and one hanging in the bathroom and not only is the air feeling so much drier, I no longer find mold growth on fabrics and my clothing doesn't smell musty. Bonus for the fresh scent. They work so well, you can see the water they suck up just faster than you can imagine, but they do last a long time too, and hold a lot of moisture. Never leak, good hanging hook, I won't ever stop using these.

We've tried two other versions of this same product: cedar (possibly discontinued) and fresh scent (the batch we tried was -way- overscented). All three varieties sucked plenty of water out of the air and were fairly easy/convenient to use. This one (lavender vanilla) smelled fine, but was the only one that left some crystals undissolved, even long after 60 days. A small percentage of the total material, but enough to leave me feeling that it underperformed the other two scents. Next we plan to try the unscented and the charcoal! Starting to feel like Goldilocks... -- May 2014 update -- The charcoal version didn't do it for me... there are fewer crystals included, in order to leave room for the charcoal. Unscented is the way to go if you put efficiency ahead of scent and cost. But these Lavender ones are cheap right now, so we reordered them!

I started using these hanging moisture absorbers in my shower to cut down on mildew. Since moving to a more humid climate, I now use DampRid all around my house. They are in every closet, still in the shower stall, and the refillable containers are sitting in every single cabinet and cupboard. I had never tried the Lavender Vanilla scent until now and I love it! I already liked the Fresh Scent and was surprised by how much I enjoyed this new fragrance. Normally I'm very sensitive to smells and tend to dislike lavender in general, but this was very nice. Even though I have also purchased electronic dehumidifiers to use in my bathroom and kitchen, I still like the convenience of being able to hang one of these wherever I want. I don't see myself ever not using these. I go through probably 25 boxes (containing 3 each) of DampRid hanging moisture absorbers every year. They are an essential part of my household maintenance and keeps things smelling fresh and less dank.

I ordered this product based off of a recommendation from a friend to take to Mexico with us to hang in our closets in our room to soak up moisture. This product worked very well while we were there and I use the remainders at home highly recommend these for damp areas in your home. I had no issues with any leaking and these were easily disposable. I recommend this product.

I recently moved into an older apt. and the bathroom smelled Horrible. I asked my friend who lived there before me and he said it was like that when he moved in and just keeps the door closed so the smell doesn't travel. I tried air fresheners and they didn't help at all. Then I figured it must be a moisture/mildew situation. I got these and hung one on my towel rack and a week later the smell was gone! I'm on the second one now. I'm amazed at the results and will continue buying these for the bathroom. Then lavender smell is pretty strong at first, but after a week or two, it becomes subtle. Edit: I recently bought the "Fresh Scent" as it was at Target when I was shopping and a couple bucks cheaper. The fresh scent smells like a public restroom :(. I will not buy that scent again. But I like the lavender vanilla!

Use these often in some of our wardrobes prone to excess moisture. Has kept mould at bay, absorbs moisture well and has a nice smell.
