I ordered the wrong size filter. I tried to return it and I can't! So just make sure you get the right size. I had ordered the last 3 years with no problem. I just thought I had the right filter but did not check size. Watch your size!!

We got these filters for gallery season- and they work so great. It always runs with these and when we change them, it is always shocking the amount of stuff that this removes from our air!!

I got these filters as replacements to put in my ‘GermGuardian RAC5350B’ air sanitizer. Surprisingly easy to install. You just slide them right into the machine with the black carbon filter facing towards the back. I have two cats who love to spread their fur and odors (especially now that they’re shedding their winter coats), pollen and other air particulate concerns (yay, Spring season), and now (of course) Covid-19 concerns, so I thought it about time to restart my Hepa+UV light anti-microbial air filters/sanitizers. No doubt, the air felt way fresher and it smelled better in my apartment after starting up my two towers again with new filters. I do wish the carbon filter was thicker though, it seems thin and isn’t really well attached to the plastic surrounding the filter. — There is a photo showing this, and also you can see how black (and clean) the filter used to be by looking at the side that faces the rest of the air filter compared to the side I had just cleaned off that faces the intake of the machine. There’s noticeable reduction in the amount of fur floating around, and odors are also reduced (not completely erased, but the closer the filter is to the source of the odor, like the litter box, the more effective it is). Whatever was in the air that would make my nose itch and trigger allergies (I’m guessing pollen) is reduced to the point that I am no longer bothered by symptoms. I feel this is likely attributable to the air filter, because if I go outside for a jog I’ll wind up coming home with a runny nose and the allergy symptoms that I used to have occurring at home. It’s not like I can say my family hasn’t gotten sick because of the filters, since its the UV element of the machine that degrades microbes. But hey, it is overall another element that adds peace of mind at home. It’s a bit strange to me that it is recommended to physically clean off the filter once a month to keep it working most effectively, and then replace completely every few months, but it isn’t too big a deal. Actually, because of how my tower works, larger particles can get stuck to the intake of the filter (see photo) which I can wipe off with a duster and that reminds me to clean off the filter itself as well (also shown in photos). I just use a Swiffer duster to wipe the machine and the actual filter. Overall, I’m very happy with the filters and the machine that they are placed within. I feel they work well and are worth the price.

Consistently valuable purchase for health- love that I can count on this product! Super easy to pop it into the filter. Airflow is clear, and noise level is low.

While the nominal dimensions of this filter are correct, the outer frame material is too flimsy and bows/curves inward in the middle. Because of this curve, the filter doesn't sit completely flat against the top and bottom of the chamber.For many GermGuardian models (like the AC5350B), this minor warping means the filter fails to trigger the built-in safety interlock switch. If your purifier suddenly refuses to light up or turn on after installing this filter, it is likely due to this gap. I managed to fix it by jamming a small piece of cardboard underneath the filter to act as a shim and force the safety sensor down, but you shouldn't have to rig a brand-new filter just to get it to work. Buy with caution if you have a model with strict safety switches.

This filter does a great job of catching pet dander. Specifically, I have birds and the filter catches tons of this VERY fine feather dander. It is a genuine GermGuardian product so it will fit the appropriate model without a hitch. It is easy to install and remove. I recommend this item for its performance and its ease of installation. It is very hard to find locally and costs almost twice as much in my hometown. This is a fantastic item at a great price. I have purchased these many times on Amazon and has always arrived in perfect condition.

Excellent filter provides very clean air and easy to install

I love this system! I’m in a basement that definitely has a lot of airborne particulates and my filter lasted for six months! I only bought the system because it’s HEPA and it’s reasonably priced. Love the UV light great addition! Thanks, Germ guardian!!

These are expensive around 54$ Canadian each and work great for dust, pollen etc. but had to be replaced once a month during forest fire season (but they did seem to help with the air quality in our home when we did this). I'll be looking for a less costly alternative for next year if smoky skies return.

Having easy access to the Germ Guardian Hepa Filters thru Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program means I always have one on hand when the machine says to change it. I have continued to use them past the time I should (or vacuumed them well and use them some more), but I’m always surprised at the difference in the air quality when I put in the new filter. I recommend these fans with their filter system in a heartbeat.
