I don't often leave reviews but this item deserves it. I have fine, about 2A/2B wavy hair. It's also been chemically destroyed with color treatments so it's very porous. This is a great product for accentuating the curl pattern in my hair without adding the extra weight that curling gels usually have. There's two effective ways to use this product that I've found, and the result depends on which method you use. The method I found that works best for me is to use it on wet hair and scrunch it with a towel as if you were using the curly girl method with a styling gel. The result is light, fluffy clumps of waves. You can also use it on dry hair, and then it acts more like a sticky texture product that's meant for sculpting. You hair will feel a little sticky, like if you used too much dry shampoo, but it's still lightweight and easy to sculpt. The smell is nice, but in a nostalgic way. It reminds me of being a kid outside in summertime, covered in mosquito repellent, catching fireflies. It has an airy, misty scent that's hard to explain. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I found it pleasant. You may have to experiment with how much product to use based on your own hair texture and length, but for me I only need as much as I would if I were using a de-tangling spray. I also find that I don't really have to wash it everyday either. The product is so light that I can use it at least two or three times before my hair feels dirty. TLDR: This stuff is really good, especially for the price. Try it.

Adds great texture without making my head a matted mess. Smells good without causing a headache. Good sturdy bottle. Not sure it’s moisturizing but it not moisture-drying.

I bought the Beauty by Earth Sea Salt Texture Spray to use in my daughter’s hair, and I’m really impressed with it. Her hair tends to be a bit fine and flat, but this spray gives it a nice boost of volume and those pretty, beachy waves without making it feel stiff or sticky. It has a light, pleasant scent and doesn’t weigh her hair down. I also love that it’s made with natural ingredients and smells great—always a plus when using products on kids. The only downside for me is I tried using it in my hair but having thicker hair the texture doesn't hold as well. Definitely planning to keep this in our hair care routine though!

This spray is awesome as an alternative to hairspray. It doesn’t dry out your hair like hairspray, it actually moisturizes my hair and makes it more manageable. And it smells like the actual beach! Love it!! ❤️

Didn't work for my medium-textured, limp hair. Made it slightly crunchy and, when combed out, too soft. If I sprayed into my wet hair to blowdry, I didn't like the result. Made my hair feel dry. I'll stick with my mousse.

Used for the first time last night and I'm on board! I bought this for the express purpose of using it as a prep product to help make my hair stay in waves. This does it. To get waves, I go one of 2 ways: (A) use either a 1" barrel or (B) use the heatless roller things (Kitsch has them, and there's one that's like a bathrobe tie that works much better for me). Because my hair is fine, limp, and doesn't usually hold a curl, I got a tip to use a texture spray before curling, which worked really well until it stopped being sold on Amazon! So I trolled other reviews and found this. Here's how I used it: - had dry hair, washed prob 2 days prior - sprayed throughout my dry hair a moderate amount. i clipped up sections, sprayed a little, let another section down, etc. - i did not comb it through at that point, but i sprayed strategically enough to not make a ton of knots - i used the velvet headband curler thing and did the whole wrapping gig. - went to bed, took the headband thing out about 8 hours later Assessment: My hair was not crispy, which I was really pleased by! It does have a weird salty texture (shouldn't be shocking) like the way your hair feels after you've spent an afternoon in the ocean. It DEFINITELY holds the waves, way better than if my hair had been wet instead. Honestly I suck at using the velvet headband curler thing because I don't practice enough, and this product erased my poor learning curve. I combed out the waves with a wide-tooth comb because the salty texture was a bit too much to run my fingers through. I do still feel the salty texture post-comb, but not in a way that bothers me and it looks pretty natural. It also feels (and looks!) like my hair has a ton of body (pssst. it's actually super thin and lifeless). I obviously haven't tested it yet, but I do actually think these waves will hold through today and tomorrow, even if I sleep on them. And that's pretty mindblowing for me. I will definitely be hanging on to this product. It has made it into the sacred echelon of liquids I choose to have in mini spray bottles in the piddly 1 Qt ziplock for carry-on travel.

This product changed my life. It smells nice and fresh.. it keeps the hair texture. I can spray some water on it the next day and curl it again and it will stay.

Smells Amazing! I’ve been using this product for nearly two weeks now, and the first thing I have to mention is the scent—it’s absolutely incredible! I’ve even had people ask if I was wearing perfume because of how good it smells. It’s also super easy to use and doesn’t weigh down my hair or leave any greasy or sticky residue, which I love. The ingredients are clean and natural, making it a great choice for anyone mindful of what they’re putting in their hair. As for performance, I found that it didn’t work the best on its own. While it provided a slight curl definition, the hold didn’t last very long— which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. However, I absolutely love using it as a styling product! It works beautifully for blowouts and pairs well with both heated and heatless curling techniques. I’ll definitely continue using this and will be repurchasing!
