Worth every penny
Hard to believe I waited this long to buy this tripod. Like everyone else, I am always trying to save a few bucks never realizing how much damage this approach can cause to my expensive camera and lens combo. After trying several tripods and damaging several cameras and breaking a few lenses, I finally decided to buy this tripod. The tripod is a solid and well made piece of equipment that gives me a sense of security when I place my camera and lenses to it. I love the fact that I can also get this tripod to fall almost flat to the ground when I am out shooting macro. The only negative is that it is not that light, but then again, my camera and lens hit the ground before when using a lighter tripod. So, do yourself a favor and get a solid tripod for your photography like this one.

Super solid, great design on the leg locks
Just received this a few days ago and blown away by the quality. To those that say you have to pay hundreds more for a quality product this proves them all wrong. Super solid, great design on the leg locks. I personally have not liked the twist locks in the past and these are way way better. The adjustment of the upper column to turn it into an arm is superb. Easy, smooth and rock solid. Holds my Nikon D7200 with 200-500mm lens with no issues. 8 year extended warranty when you log your details on their website. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this model. Oh, and I'm 6foot 5 and extends above my eye level.

A nice, compact but sturdy tripod that extends to eye level.
This tripod is nice and compact, but can still extend to eye level for most people. The horizontal column can take a little fiddling, but it's a great feature. I combined these legs with a Manfrotto MHXPRO-BHQ2 ball head to make a very nice tripod that is flexible and great to work with. I mostly use larger tripods (Manfrotto 475B & 055) with 3-ways heads, but this is a great option when I want something more compact to carry around, especially for use close to the ground. I'm 6'6" and it can get close enough to eye level when I want it, which is a big plus for me.

It’s a little on the heavy side. That makes it all the more sturdy
The product overall is very well-made easily deployed and sturdy as hell. One of the lower legs did come a little loose and slid out on its own like I’ve heard others say. I believe this is so you can learn to adjust attention on the clamps and find the correct tools to use. That’s my opinion. If you have to send something back because something is loose like a clamp that you can repair easily yourself. You can finish the sentence.

Quality Tripod solid and compact!
I shoot video and photos as a hobby and after buying two other tripods from various sources to meet a one-size-fits-all-situations tripod, I was dismayed by the options out there. I was looking for a tripod that was light, yet sturdy; compact enough for travel, yet tall enough for my use. Unfortunately, the other tripods I bought made compromises on at least one of the requirements I had. Lo and behold, I found the updated 190. Of course I came across the old version of this tripod and it seemed like a great value, but the 4-section updated version seemed like it would fit on my camera backpack and in my carryon. Quality, fit, finish, is impeccable. Another great product from Manfrotto. If you can't tell yet, I would highly recommend this tripod. Here is a video over/review I did of the tripod: [...]

Lightweight, but only moderately stable
Well made and well designed, but just a little shaky. When touched, it “rings” a bit, and the vibrations last a second or two. Try before you buy if you plan to use for high magnification/long range outdoors in wind.

I Can't Imagine How a Tripod Could Get Better
Incredible quality, Italy never disappoints. I was having a hard time deciding between this model and the 360go with the quick twist locks. Ultimately I realized the twisting wouldn't be any quicker than snapping and I would feel more secure with legs that locked via snap. I avoided getting the ball head with this model because I had just purchased a fluid head for video (Manfrotto 502) and figured I might as well be savvy and just use that. Incorrect decision. The video head is hella heavy and very challenging to bring on adventures. Definitely cough up the extra $70 or so for the discounted ball head package. I am 6' 3" and this model reaches a perfect height for me. I am happy with the 4 sections as opposed to 3 because of the shorter minimum length. I've carried this through 6 airports no problem. Having the ability to shoot horizontally with the swinging neck has been great for nature shots, in my case waterfalls.

Do not last long
I have been using this new tripod for the last 3 months. One of its legs is nos functioning well already and makes my photos look blurry due to the reason it slides from the clamp. I am very disappointed because actually this is the second time that I buy manfrotto product and the first time happened the same thing. Do not buy Manfrotto tripods, they do not last long and are very expensive.
