I bought this for my Panasonic x1000 with the handle from a x2000. I shoot a LOT of baseball outside in the weather. Works good. I REALLY wish it would fold down to fit in my camera bag better, but for the price it’s worth it still. I was worried about the “reflection” others complained about in their reviews, but honestly it’s nearly identical to the reflection of not using it. It’s just easier now to angle the screen to be able to see it clearly without the sun washing out the image. Other than taking up a lot of space in my bag because it’s not collapsible, solid 4 stars.

I love this item and I even use it when I am indoors filming a concert or show so that the light of my camcorder screen arm doesn't disturb anyone sitting near me. I use this outdoors too and it works very well for me. I always have this in my equipment bag. Works well for both indoor and outdoor use. Great product, I'm glad I purchased this. Highly recommended.

I purchased this hood for my Sony FDR-ax53 4k video camera. Before I bought this hood the monitor was almost impossible to see outdoors in bright sunlight. Images can be viewed much better after attaching the hood. Hood is strong and made of thick heavy duty material. It appears to be made of leather. Hood slips right over monitor so there's nothing to do but slip it right on. Very happy with purchase and the results.

I've ordered a total of four of these (3.5") in recent years for my Panasonic AG AC-90 cameras. They fit as far as dimensions allowing the entire LCD screen to show up to the edges. However, it's a small fit on the back flap attached to Velcro over the bottom flap. But, as of today, all of the hoods' glued sections have fallen apart - looks like the glue got brittle. None have been exposed to harsh climate conditions. Now using gaff tape to hold them together. So now I'm shopping Amazon for a different brand.

Wow, I could have used this when I first started recording events outside. It fits well and does the Job of shading the screen. Well done.

This screen hood is great for sunny day now I can see what I am filming before could not see the screen in the sun so a great buy made very well would recommend to family and friends.

Fits perfectly. Not effective on bright sunny days as you get your reflection back onto the screen. A hoodloupe would probably work better under those conditions, but they don’t make them for camcorders. Other than that hood works great.
