I bought Lavender and Soft Lavender. Brunette with blonde highlights, trying to get the "chocolate mauve" purplish rose gold. I love the regular purple "Lavender" - gave a really nice purple tone, no damage or drying to the hair at all. Mix it with conditioner or do it straight. The Soft Lavender was much more of a magenta tone; too reddish, pink for what I was trying to achieve. Need as much cool blue tone as possible to cancel the brass in the highlights. I've tried Keracolor Clenditioner in Rose Gold and felt it really dried out my hair, even when using conditioner afterward. Tried Unicorn Hair too but this is more cost effective. Just like anything else, it fades after like 1-2 washes, and you have to do it a few times to build up the color. If you want it to be potent, you def have to bleach your hair first. If you're trying to get a pastel purple, you could definitely achieve it with this, diluted with conditioner.

090 Lavender did pretty much absolutely nothing to my daughter’s very pale blonde virgin hair. The only difference is a VERY slight tinge of grayish-lavender on some ends and the tone of her hair is a teeny bit darker. Not even noticeable. This is definitely not close to my first rodeo with hair color and I’ve had success coloring overtop of my dark brown hair, so it’s not user error. I even incorporated some extra tips like washing her hair with dish soap etc. I am so disappointed and so is she. 3 hours of our time wasted.

Lovely range of colors, but no staying power. Wanted to love it but can't - just doesn't "take," even though my hair is white and porous. The range of colors is impressive, and the shades were fairly true to screen appearance, but despite following instructions and doubling the processing time, and shampooing just once a week, I get only a few days of visible color from this product. WAY too short-lived for the investment. L'Oreal Colorista remains the budget-friendly winner for durability.

Look. I put this dye through the ringer. I hated it the first day. It was WAY too purple. So I have since washed it 3 times, not gently, not using purple shampoo, and in hot water. It is a beautiful lavender and has been for the past 2 washes. For everyone saying it doesn't work, their hair was not bleached to a level 9 or 10. I can attest to the fact that it WILL NOT dye hair that isn't a level 9 or 10 as my poor roots were not that light and they did not take the dye.

This dye is fantastic!!! 2 years ago, I went pastel lavender and LOVED it. During this time, i used a lot of different dyes, some of which didn't work and some that did. However, NONE have applied so quickly and effectively!!!! I decided to go back to fun and colorful hair this week, bleached my hair, and toned it with purple shampoo. Unfortunately, my hair was a little patchy after bleaching, and the toner helped but did not fully eliminate the brassy tones. Now, at this point, I have dyed my hair with certain brands that only end up working as a toner instead of a dye because of whatever reason (I'm lookin at you Arctic Fox). The instructions on this say to leave in 15 minutes or so, but we all know the longer you leave in a pastel color, the more pigmented it will get, and normally you have to leave it in longer than recommended to achieve a solid color. Well let me tell you- this dye was a major exception. I did a test strand for 15 mins and was SHOCKED when I realized it actually worked in 15 minutes, and gave me a beautiful light hue. I ended up deciding to go for a more intense color and left it on for 30 mins, and have beautiful, cool-toned, vibrant lavender hair. GET THIS IF YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS!!!!!!! Also didnt stain my sink or bathtub, and didnt bleed much at all when rinsing it out.
