Astonish®️ Oven & Cookware Cleaner 150g (Packaging may vary)

I have been using Astonish cream cleaner for years. I first bought it after seeing a demo on QVC, and was so happy to see that Amazon carries it now. It works when nothing else does. Baked-on stains on my white Corningware baking dishes, the glass top on my range, the cooked on stains on the bottoms of stainless cookware, any staining on my good Le Creuset dutch ovens, even the inside of the oven window. Astonish works beautifully with a scrub daddy on the really tough stuff. It really is the cleaner I rely on.

They chose their product name precisely! I have used many products over the years as I love the shine of new stainless steel and even more so on my cookware. Some products scratch as you try to get that oxidation off. I confess my pots often go for a clean in the dishwasher as cleanup time is sometimes either limited or I am simply tired. I enjoy looking for new products that may make my life easier as I look at the plethora of products and gadgets I accumulate. I found the reviews on this product quite remarkable as I aspire to keep chemicals out of my life. This product took very little effort with my trusty cellulose sponge (made in France) and this vegan non toxic product (made in the UK). Both forces combined restored the gleam and shine on my pots and pans in next to no time! My stainless dishwasher door is always streaked and just a sight, one pass and it looks brand new! I bought the Astonish oven and cookware cleaner with the intention of cleaning my stainless cookware that is a little over a year old. As the package clearly states, be prepared to do some good, old fashioned scrubbing but it will remove any burnt on grease on the outside of the pan. Most importantly, it doesn't scratch the surface. After rinsing well, I buffed both the in and outside with a microfiber cloth and the pans look as good as new. To be completely fair, I used both the Astonish and Wenol (I had purchased at a local cooking store)and used on two different skillets to compare the products. Both did the same job but the Astonish is cheaper by $5.00 and there is a lot more of the product. The Wenol came in a 4 ounce tube and the Astonish is in a 17.5 ounce tub. Unfortunately, the Astonish also came with a broken lid and had a dried crust on top( easily remedied by pouring in a few drops of water, replacing what was left of the lid and placing the entire package inside a ziplock bag ). Also, a little goes a long way so the Astonish should last quite a long time.

This stuff worked way better than I had expected and it had a nice smell to it. Will definitely use this again to clean my oven. I’ve tried other cleaners over in the past and this has been the best one yet.

This product serves as a fine replacement to Comet or Ajax for those of us who dislike using bleach - it does absolutely everything that Ajax can do, and that is pretty groovy. However, it under-performs as a replacement for ammonia-based oven cleaners. It does not equal a real oven cleaner's strength or efficacy inside the oven. In regards to those heavy layers of black backed-on chunks, it cleared out maybe 75 percent from my oven (which was not excessively dirty to start out with) and after that no amount of elbow grease or steel wool or extra cleaner was getting that last 25 percent off. Avoiding harsh chemical cleaners is a goal of mine and this product is great in the bathroom and on my stainless steal kitchen sink - but below par in the oven. That being said I'll keep using it in the oven to avoid the use of ammonia-based cleaner. Results were acceptable, but not astonishing.

The British made this stuff. I read a review from an Army cook...a veteran who said he was 69 years old...he said since he was introduced to Astonish long ago it's the only cleaner he ever uses because it's so effective. I was sold to give it a try. I'm a 70 year old vet too but I did the bulk of my cooking in businesses I started in restaurants and catering. To that end I'm the cook in my house and raised our kids on the food I made. I am a total disaster in the kitchen to which my sweetheart through all these years will attest. I cook daily, all types of food...long simmers, high heat sauces....I can wreck a stove...I have a six burner professional gas range and I have tried so many degreasers, detergents...all with zero success...enter Astonish...this product needs a good amount of elbow grease added to it....but...the Army vet is spot on...this product is a paste with a consistency likened to shoe polish...I wore nitrile gloves, an inexpensive green scrub pad from Walmart...wet the pad, rubbed the surface of the paste to get some product on the pad and began scrubbing....these are the rings from around the burners and the stuff on them is hardened refuse from direct battle....no soaking just some elbow grease...several minutes later I was looking at silver again...haven't seen that since this dude was new. This is not a magic potion...but if you're willing to add the ingredient of some elbow grease this stuff works.

Miracle in a tub!!!! You will not be disappointed. I use this daily for stains that nothing else will remove off my quartz. And flooring Including Coffee , tea , curry, ink , crayons … you name it this will remove !!!

Another great product from astonish that really works

This product is what I have been looking for a long time. I bought it many years ago and after using it for years with great results I used it all up. I just bought it again and I am super happy with the results, in seconds my pots and lids look like new again.
