The batten itself is easy to install and bright enough even for a living room. But the app is horrible. Like the batten, Wipro has slapped their name onto some other company's app. There are no clear instructions on how to create a schedule. And the existing implementation is also quite strange E.g. if I want it bright white in the day and a soothing yellow at night, I have to create two separate automation tasks. There is no easy option to have a power button on the home screen. I have to create a separate on and a separate off button. And their widget is ugly af. Occupies half the screen non resizable unless you want to make it bigger. It's just really frustrating. I'm stuck with this for now but wld advise others to opt for something with a better app.

The light worked well during the period I used it, and the smart features such as Wi-Fi control, dimming and colour temperature adjustment were very useful. However, unfortunately, the product developed a fault around the end of the warranty period. What I really appreciated was the support from Amazon when I contacted them about the issue. They provided good assistance even though the problem occurred right at the end of the warranty period. I genuinely appreciate Amazon for taking the issue seriously and providing proper support. The product itself could be more reliable, especially considering it developed a fault around the warranty period. I would also like to see the same level of customer support consistently extended to other products as well. Overall, my experience with the product was good, and I’m particularly satisfied with the support I received from Amazon.

I always felt that the smart LED lights (which I have many) is not enough bright for reading or working. I have smart LED lights from Wipro also but it's Okay for normal use, not for reading or working. I came across this smart LED batten a couple of weeks back and I decided that I'll buy this for sure. Now, I have seen normal LED battens with Color changing capabilities. I always wondered why no one has launched smart capabilities with LED battens in India. Wipro came to rescue at this point. Now for the review part: It does the job well and as claimed. The normal Color changing(only the temperatures from warm to cool) battens without the smart capabilities can only be set to three temperatures i.e. Warm, medium and cool but this smart batten is capable of any desired temperatures upto 6500k. I like the product and is very bright. I have replaced my conventional tube light with this and believe me I find it much brighter and enough for reading or working. I was familiar with the Wipro Next Smart Home app already(I have mentioned above I have their smart bulbs too) so I won't go into the topic in this review. The app works well and is pretty neat. Alexa had no trouble at all while discovering or accessing the device. This batten is working well with Alexa. Best thing is that it doesn't need a hub to connect to the network. Overall a good purchase and I am happy that Wipro initiated the batten lineup for smart battens. I will definitely replace more of the conventional tube lights in my house with this. The price is also very reasonable for what you are getting. I'll update the review as I use it for a while as I got it today itself. Overall a very good purchase. Thanks for reading!! PS : Wipro smart home products doesn't supports IFTTT yet and I don't know why they advertise so. I don't know may be in future they will add a support but as of now be advised that there is no IFTTT support. ----------------------------------------------------- EDIT : They do support IFTTT, It's the name of the service which is different there. You can search the service in IFTTT by the name SMART LIFE. I don't know why they kept this name instead of just Wipro but the fact here is you can use IFTTT services with this product. I am also attaching a screenshot for the same. It's my mistake I didn't researched it properly prior to posting this review. I never thought that there can be a totally different name for a service from a well know brand. This completes this product and makes it highly recommend from my side. Go for it. PSS: One more thing I read a lot of comments and reviews here stating about it's state retention. Yes, it doesn't retain it's state when the power comes back after the power outage. This is a drawback where too much power failures occur. But, this doesn't make this product less useful as you can switch it off from anywhere in the world. For me it's not a big issue, and is a safety feature used by most smart lights in case of emergency. Even the Philips hue added the feature of last on state a while back. Hopefully this can be done in these lights too in near future by a simple software update.

While the product in itself (along with the app) is good as far as the brightness and app features are concerned, the benefits of the tubelight stop there. Owning this has been an absolute nightmare for many reasons: 1) At the offset, let me clear any misconception anyone might have about this being an Indian product and thus needs to be supported. While I am not sure where the tubelight in itself originates, the app that controls it is a well-known Chinese app that has a Wipro skin to make it seem native. So please don't be swayed by the 'India' tag and fall for this cheap product. Why cheap, you ask? Let me explain. 2) Once it was installed, the tube light without any reason just turned off within 5-6 hours of usage for me. It showed as 'Offline' on the app, and there was no issue with the power source when tested, so it was clearly a case of product failure. And that leads me to the next stage of problems. 3) The Customer 'Support': On paper, Wipro has a customer care number but it is anything but helpful. When you call to register a complaint, the rep will claim that the product will be replaced and that you will get a callback within 7 business days. You will also be told that Wipro allows for two options: Either you can courier it to the nearest Wipro representative and they will ship a replacement, or you can opt for a hand-to-hand exchange at your nearest authorised Wipro seller. And rest assured, this customer care team does not understand the concept of callback. After a few days of waiting, when you call, you'll be told that you'll get a callback from the backend team "for sure" in a day or two, but that will never come. And when you finally get frustrated of calling them and being promised a callback, and you demand a local number to directly resolve the issue, you'll be provided the number of one 'Mr. Raju' if you are based out of Karnataka who is more elusive than Houdini. 4) It is safe to assume that this Raju will never bother calling you. When you finally call him yourself, he'll put on the drama of searching for the nearest center and then tell you that it is not possible and you'll need to courier it to his address. Apparently, there is NO authorised seller anywhere in Karnataka and if you are based out of this state, the only way to get an exchange under warranty is to courier the product to his Bengaluru address (WHICH ON A SIDE NOTE IS A WARNING TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE CONSIDERING BUYING IT OUTSIDE BENGALURU WITHIN KARNATAKA: BE PREPARED TO INCURR MASSIVE COURIER CHARGES AS YOU TRY TO SHIP THIS SORRY EXCUSE FOR A PRODUCT TO HIS ADDRESS), which to me seems like a convenient excuse to claim having a warranty on the product, but make it so complicated to avail that most people just give up on this useless company. So, in all, no matter how much of a discount this product might show on Amazon, DON'T BUY IT! It is absolutely not worth the hassle in case you ever have any issue with it, and it anyway seems to be just a Chinese product under an Indian brand skin. STAY AWAY!

Very good product it’s my 4 th wifi Tub

UPDATE: So after 2 days and nights of use the Light and I have reconciled our differences. Although I still think it's not worth the aggravation of setting this up to later have the ability to turn the light on/off, or dim down to about a 3w or brighten to 20w and change from yellowish to white/blue. I do have to give it a thumbs up for these. Once you get it connected and working its great. I have learned some things from this tho. Being my first wifi controlled unit. Some things to keep in mind. 1- when the power goes out and even if you have an inverter backup you have to make sure that your wifi unit is plugged into an outlet that's powered by said inverter. My house does not have every outlet connected to backup grid. 2- I unhooked the light and moved it to the kitchen,and I was really worried that I would have to go thru the reset process again. But thankfully I was able to hook it up within 5 mins and it was working thru the app. Not worth the aggravation. The pple that used the Alexa system seemed to have better luck. But I used our home wifi router which is Mercusys. Have phones and tv's connected thru it. But this light was pure headache. The Wipro app is great, it registers quickly. But after that it took 5 hours to get this tube to work. And also thanks to a fellow reviewer that mentioned the Alpsmart app which some ppl like me also needed. This is supposed to be 20w, but my 18 Havells Delite is brighter. Just wasn't worth the aggravation of turning on and off the router and then the tube lite hundred times. The instructions seem so simple in theory but not in practice. At one point I thought I ruined the light switch. I would rather go swimming with sharks then have to re install this light.

Its been more than a year so ill write only genuine thing as i m using it for more than a year 1 after a update last year if you are connected with broadband and even if your internet is not working this device will still work i have wipro plug it also work without internet. 2. Internet is needed only when you are out of ur home or while connecting device then your mobile and broadband should have internet remember if you are at home and ur wifi is turn on then even without internet it will work u just need to connect mobile with wifi. 3. Problems 1. every after one or two month you need to connect it with wifi I don't know after 2-3 months it automatically blink n ask you to connect that takes 1 min only. Baki kbhi koi issue nhi aya abhi b thik chal rhi h so i feel its best purchase maza ata h movie k time dim lights krke ya aap window khol k kam kro bhar andhera ho apko b koi nhi dekh pata from outside while having dinner you can dim your lights so its fun you can change colour and brightness of your room it will totally change your mood specially if you are a student

I purchased this LED batten on 26th December 2019, and it is still working without any major issues, which says a lot about its durability and build quality. The smart Wi-Fi features and adjustable color temperature are useful and convenient even today. However, over time, the brightness has reduced and it no longer feels as bright as a 20W LED should be, especially for larger rooms. ✅ Pros Excellent long-term durability (working for over 5 years) Reliable Wi-Fi smart features Adjustable CCT (color temperature) is very useful Good build quality from a trusted brand Stable performance with no frequent failures ❌ Cons Brightness is lower than expected for a 20W batten Light output seems to degrade over time Not ideal for rooms that need strong illumination
