a nice pair of pants to add to our raingear stash
these pants are good quality! not too thick and not too thin. my husband normally wears 32x32 and tho these say 31 on the size chart, they are definitely roomy enough over at least a base layer and likely over jeans as well. tho they do make some noise, they aren’t super bothersome. of course, they’d be too loud for hunting. (we took video to try to capture the sound and size on - i’m struggling to get it uploaded, so check back later). i suspect they’ll be okay getting on and off over running shoes, but work or hiking boots would likely be a problem. we will consider re-waterproofing them again next season, if needed, but i suspect they’ll last at least a couple seasons. we will take them for our upcoming backpacking trip if there’s lots of rain in the forecast. if not, we’ll keep these in our adventure stash but probably pack our lightweight ponchos. ps. seller accepts returns, but you pay return postage. at ~ $10, these are clearly a great value to have on hand for backup. (i have recently purchased several brands of raingear to compare and review on our upcoming trip, so check those out, if it’d be helpful!)

Excellent pants
Excellent pants that was the right length and are lightweight, wind proof and look great that wasn’t too expensive.

Sturdy, lightweight, waterproof
Very lightweight (12 oz) and do the job well. Make sure you know they are a bit long and they don't fit over hiking shoes easily so you would need to take off the shoes to put them on. Do have a snap to seal up the bottom cuffs. Not really sure why they have side pockets (velcro closed) unless it is to have access to shorts/pants pockets under them. These opening could let in rain but haven't yet for me. Very good value and not too bulky.

Waterproof rain pants.
Fit is true to size. Made well. Comfortable and warm. Great for hiking and rainy days in the rain forest in Ketchikan, Alaska.

FAIL - water soaked right through
I bought 2 pairs of these pants -- one for me, and one for my son -- for a backpacking trip we were going to do. I knew they were cheap, so I didn't expect them to be breathable. Fine. What I DID expect was for them to keep us dry. Unfortunately, they failed both of us miserably. We had constant rain as we were hiking. I made sure that the rain pants came up over my shorts, my shirt was tucked in to the rain pants, and my rain jacket was pulled down over them top of the rain pants. There should have been no way for rain water to get to my clothes. By the end of a day hiking in steady (but not torrential) rain, my shorts were soaked. When I was sitting down eating lunch, I would watch a drop of rain fall on the pants. It stayed beaded on the surface of the fabric for a little while, and then it slowly soaked right into the fabric. So, it might slow down the rain getting to your clothes underneath, but it will NOT stop it. That's the least I expect from rain gear. Even a trash bag will do that much. As a result of relying on these rain pants for a week in the backcountry, I was consistently soaking wet. I have to consider these rain pants a failure. I regret getting them, and I would NOT recommend them.

Fits right, does its job, and NOT too ugly/smelly
I bought the rain jacket (S440) and pants (S441). I'd read a bunch of reviews that it works but is ugly or that the plastic winds up smelling like chemicals. But I'm please to report: it's fine! I'm 6'1" 170 lbs and bought both in M, and it fits perfectly -- not too boxy or anything. It's not going to win fashion awards, but you're not buying rain gear like this to wear to the office of to the opera -- this is *gear* and you're wearing it to stay warm while bicycling or hiking or doing chores outside in heavy rain, especially in the cold. And it really is *perfect* for that, and looks *fine* for that. I was mostly worried about smelling like chemicals -- I'm *super* super sensitive to that, and once threw a horrible plastic shower liner out the window after opening it it was so bad. But this had a very mild smell that went away after airing out for a couple of days, so no worries. And for the price, this is probably the best value-for-money of any clothing item I've ever purchased... so 5 stars! (Additional advice: when I bought it most sellers were shipping from the UK, but I was able to find at least one "fulfilled by Amazon" for both jacket and pant, so look for those if you want normal shipping times.)

ok, small but protective from rain
I recently purchased the Portwest S441 Men's Lightweight Adjustable Waterproof Classic Rain Pants in size Small, and while they undeniably shielded me from the rain effectively, there were a couple of drawbacks worth noting. The waterproof feature worked like a charm, keeping me dry in challenging weather conditions. However, the sizing seemed a bit off as the Small was larger than expected, making it somewhat cumbersome to wear. Additionally, the material, though lightweight, had a tendency to trap heat, causing discomfort and making me feel sweaty during prolonged use. Despite these issues, the excellent waterproofing capabilities make these pants a reliable choice for staying dry in wet conditions; just be mindful of sizing and ventilation preferences when making a purchase.

Perfect for snow and rain in Alaska
These were perfect for Alaska, we wore them over our clothing and it also kept us warm. They are wide enough to cover jeans, tights and my husband's sweat pants. It has no pockets just holes for you to access your pockets on your jeans, etc.

Funktionella men saknar snöre i resåren. Blir besvärligt om man inte har skärp utanpå.
