I gave this unit 5 stars because it's a PTZ that, in a market where a PTZ can easily cost $1000.00, or more, for the camera alone (before installation fees) , this unit from Leftek is under $200. I installed one for a customer today and they were very pleased. Installation was relatively cut and dried after I figured out the protocols with the help of Danielle in Amazon customer support who was great and actually available immediately, on a Sunday afternoon mind you, by live chat when I was looking for assistance. I mentioned in the chat that the unit had no instruction manual. Danielle directed me to this link to get one: file:///C:/Users/user/Downloads/leftek%20ptz%20instructions.pdf . The Problem I was having with set up was with me selecting the wrong protocol (Pelco D) when I should have selected Pelco C for the DVR I was using (Zosi). After I did that it was off to the races. The camera has great resolution (2MP) that produces good evidence quality video. I will definitely order this camera again and tell all of my customers about it. As a seller and installer of security camera systems, I've been looking for a good economy brand PTZ that I can offer customers, with smaller budgets, who need PTZ functionality. I think I finally found it in this unit from Leftek. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone with a small camera budget needing PTZ functionality. In this case, the customer gets what they paid for and then some.

I started using this camera in my systems for about a year now. Installed in approx 9 churches. Usually use three in each system. Out of 27 cameras, 3 were defective and sent back for replacement. They were replaced with no problems. We use these cameras inside during church services During installations I have observed the night vision capabilities. These cameras always display a picture when I fire them up. Even if the room I put it in is currently completely dark. In darkness, they flip black and white and color when enough light is available. Picture quality is 1080p. Perfect for live streaming to Facebook live. Haven't used motion detection but I have no reason to expect any problems with motion detection. To sum it all up, I have used a lot of these and continue to use them because for the most part, they work well.

Compare to another PTZ camera I recently purchase this one is superb. (No Power Issues 24v) at night when the LED comes on and can be used with a 100 foot RS485 cable. The only problem I had was no manual. I contacted support and they emailed me a manual. No problems after that.

I wouldn't buy because it does not come with a power plug as described in the pictures I attached. I thought is was a mistake but I spoke with tech support and they sent me a replacement and it came the same way. I have no idea how it can be installed without a power plug. The amazon online description shows it with the power plug. The downloaded user manual is no help at all. I'm returning them both.

Great camera, hudge resolution, great focus, great night vision with powerfull infrared leds. Easy set up and configuration with my Hickvision DVR. I recomend it great for the price.

Amazing quality image but only shows up in black and white. Leftek customer service recommends I return it to Amazon but I don’t have the time now so I’m sure I’ll just be stuck with it

At first we were VERY skeptical on buying this camera, but once we got it connected, it surpassed our expectations! Very clear and easy to connect! I am not sure if this matters, but we are using RG59 coaxial cable, and the clarity is SUPERB! As you can see in the screenshot we took, the clarity is GREAT! This is about 275ft away, and we could make out the plate with no problem at all. Even though they say the zoom is 20, it actually only goes up to 18, but just look how clear it is at only 13!

The package didn't include a manual only a link to a poorly translated, outdated and inadequate manual. It was only until i contacted support via Amazon was I able to get the instructions to switch from the default AHD to HD-CVI output mode. (Preset 96, then Preset 2) The verdict is still out as for how the cameras performs. I will update my review as I can provide more information to that point.
