Mascara does build volume and length--just make sure you have eyelash comb or pin to separate lashes- does clump quite a bit.

Really like this mascara. Applies thick but not too thick. Lengthens and makes the eyes pop. Has lasted a long time for me. And it is not crazy expensive like other brands.

I've been meaning to write a 5 star review for this mascara for some time now, because this mascara WAS perfect. I'm VERY picky with my mascara and have tried almost everything on the market. For many years I used Le Volume and this is the first and only mascara that ever came close to providing the volume and (importantly) separation of my lashes. I discovered this mascara about a year ago through online searches for dupes and knew when I saw the wand that this might be the one. Sure enough it was perfect and gave me the same results for a fraction of the price. I bought MANY more as gifts for others and have recommended it to countless others. Then, earlier this year, essence inexplicably changed the wand. It is no longer sturdy and is very flexible/bendy. Now, application is much messier, requiring more stability on my part. Most importantly, it doesn't separate lashes AT ALL because there's no grip on the wand since it bends. Worst of all, when they changed the wand they also tweaked the tube itself, so the old wand cannot screw in to the new mascara tube. It looks almost identical, but the old wand will not screw on to the new tube. So now, I have to keep one new tube with the mascara to apply (looks like a sloppy toddler did it with this new wand), and one old tube with the wand that actually works (to actually make the lashes look good). I'm sure it's not great to keep using this old wand for months on end, but what's a girl to do? That was the functional part of this item that made me love it, and now they've basically ruined it. WHY did you do this essence?! Please give us the old stiff wand back, or make a new mascara with the old wand, or sell the old wand stand-alone with a cap that screws in to the new package. Please I'm literally begging to go back to the perfect product you had.

I love this mascara I have been buying it off Amazon for years. It works, its inexpensive, the mascara is flexable, doesnt flake and isnt stiff. Can reapply without crazy clumps. Its the best I rave about this brand while other spend half a paycheck on theres. Im always scared they'll discontinue so I try to always buy more than one!!

He probado muchísimas máscaras de pestañas a lo largo de los años, de todas las gamas y precios. Y tengo que decirlo: esta máscara de Essence me encanta. Por su precio, el resultado que ofrece es simplemente espectacular. Es una de esas joyas que parecen demasiado buenas para ser ciertas, pero funcionan. Pros: Volumen increíble: En una sola pasada ya se nota la diferencia. Las pestañas quedan súper definidas, largas y con mucho volumen. Efecto “pestañas postizas”: Ideal si te gusta un look marcado e intenso. No necesitas rizador ni aplicar muchas capas. Muy económica: No tiene nada que envidiarle a máscaras de alta gama que cuestan 4 o 5 veces más. Color negro intenso: Realza mucho la mirada, perfecto para uso diario o looks más llamativos. Duración buena: No se corre ni se desmorona durante el día, incluso en climas cálidos. Contras: Problema con el envase: Después de varios usos, el producto empieza a acumularse en la parte superior del tubo. Al cerrar la máscara, se sale por fuera y termina ensuciando los dedos, el neceser, y todo lo que toque. Es un detalle que deberían mejorar. Cepillo grande: Si no tienes práctica, puede ser fácil mancharte los párpados al aplicarla. A pesar del detalle con el envase, esta máscara vale totalmente la pena. Si te gusta el volumen extremo, el negro intenso y un acabado de impacto, esta es una excelente opción. Por el precio que tiene, no se le puede pedir mucho más. Yo ya la he comprado varias veces y pienso seguir haciéndolo. Esta máscara y la dorada del mercadona son mis dos favoritas por excelencia.
