First I bought one of these to illuminate my key bowl that sits on an entryway table by the door. I added an wifi-enabled LED bulb, so when I get home I can say "Alexa, I'm home" and my entryway is lit while I take off shoes and coat. The lamp is perfect for this -- has a very small footprint, but the tall rectangular shade means it throws a lot of soft light. The style is perfectly minimal. I don't use the chain pull since I use the Alexa-driven bulbs. The shade is well made and sturdy. I've had cheap lamps with paper shades that came already wrinkled and ripped, but this is quite nice for the money. The base is sturdy and heavy enough, without taking up a lot of table space. I liked this enough that I bought 4 more! Two for the bedroom, and two for the living room where I have one on each side of the TV. Using the wifi-LED bulbs I can vocally ask Alexa to make the light a nice, low red color that's comfortable for watching a show. In the bedroom, the USB ports are super convenient for charging phone and watch overnight.

For two lamps, these were a great price. They are small lamps, but that’s perfect for a nightstand. The chain for turning them on and off feels solid. The sub ports seem to work just fine. The shade is attractive. I’ve seen some reviews talk about how the shade balances on the bulb. This is patently not true. Those people just didn’t set it up properly. The shade connects to the stand and is held in with a screw on ring (like many other lamps) and then the bulb goes in through that ring. This is a compact and seemingly well made, attractive lamp.

We live in a mid-century modern home and wanted lamps for by our bed that fit that style. We didn't want them to have huge lampshades, like our previous lamps, and so we chose these. Reviews seemed pretty good, and they were right. We kept our LED bulbs and put them into these lamps. The gray of the shade helps diffuse the light enough that I enjoy reading in bed again. The small footprint allows for more "stuff" on the nightstand. The USB hook ups are perfect, as they allow me to charge 2 things at once. The pull cord for a lamp is a must, so that you can turn off a light even with lotion on your hands. The set up of these is: a switch on the cord to turn the entire lamp and USB plugs on or off. Then you can pull the cord for the lamp, as needed. It was a little odd to set up the switch on the cord behind our nightstands, but we made it work.

The only thing I am dissatisfied with is that one of the lamps needs extra pulling to have it come on. So there may be a slight defect with it. Otherwise they look good, good size for a smaller night stand, and great price! Hopefully I won’t have to return it. I would just exchange as I really like them, just a bit concerned about the small defect.

I am very guilty of ALWAYS reading people's reviews but NEVER leaving my own. Here's my first. This lamp is incredibly sharp looking. Though it appears modern because of its clean lines and sleek look, I am using it in my office which has a beachy/natural décor. The shade is a beautiful grayish tweed look. I like the square-ness of the shade because I can put it closer to the wall. I read the comments that talked about the on/off switch on the cord being too far away - that doesn't matter really because you have a pull string. The two USB ports are fantastic. It isn't overly bright, but provides enough for me at my desk. You get two in the package. The bulbs you need are easy to find on Amazon. I purchased the 6 pack of Acaxin LED Energy Save bulbs in 60 watt. oh, I also saw comments about the difficulty in figuring out the packaging. My second photo shows the top view when you open your box. Unscrew the black ring that will eventually be used to hold the shade to its base. But unscrew it and that will allow you to remove the shade and base from the box. It helped keep them secure in shipping. Then put the shade on the base correctly, screw the black ring back on and add your bulb. Remember, the pull string will work once you turn the switch on (the switch on the cord). I would give this a 6 if I could!

Simple sleek design. Lets the light through very nice. Functions as it should and excellent that it has a usb and a usb c. Extremely happy with this purchase. I was on the fence for a while with them due to price, but got these lamps for 50% off from a cyber Monday deal. Also shipping packaging very well done. Awesome simple elegant lamps!

Great quality! The shades are of good fabric and you can see the seams. The base is sturdy. These lamps really added an nice touch to my bedroom. I used to have reading 'spotlight' lamps, which worked well, but looked like student lighting. These give a much softer quality to my room. The fact that they also function as USB outlets is such a terrific bonus. There is a switch on the cord that turns the power on/off. Then a separate chain for the light. So the light can be off, but you still have power for the USB. However, if you want to turn the power off completely...turn it off at the switch. I have 60 watt bulbs in them and it's perfect for me. Definitely recommend!

I recently ordered this item and it arrived with the frames bent causing the lampshades to look warped. I suspected that this happened during shipping so I opened a return + replacement and it was quickly accepted with easy instructions. They shipped out the replacement lamps the same day I shipped back the damaged items. The replacement lamps are perfect in shape and condition, so I will be giving this item an updated review. Pros: - looks great - feels sturdy/heavy, not cheap - very simple to assemble - good value for pack of 2 Cons: - some threads at the bottom of the lampshade are loose/hanging, but i just used scissors to fix it - no other cons as of now
