These are good because they have the ratio right. And it's a good brand.

These in the past have been my go-to omega-3 supplement, but… today I just got a new batch and the container is putrid! As soon as I opened it, I could smell horrid fumes coming from the bottle, and after only smelling it two times, I have a massive headache now. I am not sure what is up. This is the first and only time this has happened to me, but I am still concerned with what could have gone wrong. I will not be taking any of this new bottle. I do really like the convinced of this over chia seeds and I hope to be able to go back to taking this supplement in the future, but if this ever happens again I do plan on switching brands.

I keep them in the fridge because I've had other vegan omega-3 oil capsules go rancid and fishy on me before and I wasn't taking any chances. These have a nice berry-like taste on the outside of the capsule. No fishy burps, which is great. The capsule is easy to swallow without drinking anything, unlike other clear vegan capsules that stick to your mouth or throat. Until I tried these, I thought all omega-3 supplements tasted like a punishment. The dosing is right on target to meet daily requirements, I just need to get better about remembering to take them.

Within algae omega 3 supplements, DEVA has the highest total omega 3/$ AND NO carrageenan and NO sorbitol.

I definitely feel better when taking this product. As a vegetarian, I realized a difference in the brittleness of my nails and the lack of softness in my hair when I transitioned to an herbivore. I'm normally pretty well off taking my vitamins, so I was relieved and excited when I found a veggie friendly version of Omega-3 intake. My body, I feel, is thanking me, now that I have the strength in my nails back and the softness of my hair has returned; plus some added benefits of them growing at a good pace once again. I love that there is no aftertaste with this pill, as there was with fish oil and with another vegan omega-3 supplement that I was taking, and the pills are a good size, simple to swallow. I, however, don't like that there's caramel colouring in this (I guess you pick your battles, right?) and don't like the price of these, but same principle; gotta pick your battles, price verses a healthier alternative. There are also complaints with the low dosage with this: I ended up pairing this with Flaxseed oil to get in ALA Omega-3s and a slightly higher dose of omega-3 intake all together, and flaxseed is relatively cheap. This is the only vegan product that I have found that has EPA included in it, so that's already a win for me. I will definitely continue purchasing this product. Thanks!
