When I first found April’s first book I figured I’d give it a shot. I didn’t realize how I’d get pulled into the book and the family centered around it. I wait for these books to be published and I wish April would figure out how to split herself in half so we’d get the books faster. Every book I swear it’s the best ever. Then then next one comes out and surpasses the one prior. I’ve recommended her books many times to friends and they have never been disappointed. If you’ve never read her books you should start. You’ll have it a lot easier than the rest of us who have to wait months for the next installment. I’ll start rereading all of her books for the tenth or eleventh time. Just submersing myself into this family and the fantastic love. This book is designed for people who love a writer than can make you feel every emotion and every scene as if you are seeing it. It’s for people who want a little happily ever after in this crazy world. Most importantly it’s for those people that like the chance to interact with one of the most amazing writers. April, keep the books coming!!

I loved this book!! It’s right up there with Sam and coopers book. Jake is amazing. And the perfect book boyfriend mix. Big and muscly with a heart of gold who knows what he wants. From the beginning of coming into contact with Annie ‘Elliot’ he knows he has to have her. They were meant to be together. I was heart broken when you found out what tore them apart. Her parents are horrible. At least her father seems appropriately guilty and apologetic where her mother just seems like a witch. Love Aiden and how much he takes to Jake. Spoiler* when he said he wished Jake was his dad I wanted to cry. Omggg thank god for Jake. Loved the ending. Can’t wait for more.

Annie and Jake. They were high school sweethearts. Secrets, by whom? They meet again years later when she needs help and her father hires McIntyre Security Bodyguard to protect her and her son from her ex husband. He was an abuser of Annie and Aiden This book has drama, action, highs and lows, ups and downs, suspense, love❤ and so much more. I love how the McIntyre family comes together when someone needs them. Read it!

I anxiously waited for this novel knowing that I would love it based on the author's teasers. She does a great job of engaging with her readers. I really had no idea how much I would enjoy the story. I read it on Kindle Unlimited then immediately purchased the book. The author does a great job of providing the back story without overshadowing what is happening currently. I love that Jake and Annie got a second chance. I love the way the author handled Jake's character who has always been the strong, silent type. It was great to see how he and Annie handled their second chance. I can't wait to get more stories in this series. I am definitely hooked.

This series is incredible. Finally we see the meaning of the tattoo and where Jake has been this whole time. This hard enough alpha male falls too his knees for this girl. So glad to see the gang altogether again. Readers please please read this series I will be rereading it in its entirety when I'm done. April please keep writing these books. If love to see the boys come together to break bad against a threat. These guys are hot and lethal and this is what they do best, protect their family and each other.

I loved Jake and Elliott story. It was romantic, full of action and just so exciting! It was a joy to read.

Forever love doesn't stop because of time or distance. Love that was meant to be, endures and triumphs. Jake and Annie loved each other since high school. They were separated by distance when Annie left for college. They drifted apart, as each believed that the other had moved on. Jake never stopped loving Annie. Now she's back in his life and needs protection from her abusive ex-husband. Time hasn't changed a thing. Jake sees her and he knows that they were meant to be. Annie went on with her life after Jake. She was led to believe that Jake moved on when she left home for school, so she settled for a man. What a mistake that turned out to be. The only good thing that came out of that relationship was her son. However, she never stopped loving Jake either. Such a beautiful story of embracing a second chance at love. The McIntrye crew is like family, so each time I get to re-visit with my favorites and fall in love with new characters, it leaves my heart full. Jake and Annie had a beautiful story of finding their way back to one another and never letting go!

Ah, Jake and Annie what can I say? I loved their story. I thought I was in love with Shane, but Jake is definitely a close second. The way he loves and protects so fiercely is swoonworthy. Watching Jake rekindle his love with Annie and fall in love with Aiden melts my heart. Ted, Annie's ex husband is a monster and has hurt Aiden and Annie one too many times. We follow their story as Ted tries to take his family back under his control and as Jake fights to now protect his family. He spent 14 years in love with his Elliott, he's not letting them go. Amazing job April, the McIntyre magic is alive and stronger than ever 💙

I’m a new reader to April Wilson and I’m enjoying the McIntyre Family series so far with Cooper and Sam my favourite but have to say Jake and Annie’s story is right up there with them. I really enjoyed that the past was addressed pretty early on in the story and then it just flowed beautifully. Children are so resilient and Aiden was just adorable. Looking forward to what’s coming.

I love that Jake got his second chance, Annie’s perfect for him, I especially like that he never played the blame game, accepting his part in what happened. Perfect read.

I have really looked forward to Jake's story. His place within the business, his family and their unconditional support for him, the backstory of his love for Annie & their losses, all beautifully & sensitively described. Such strength of character & strength of family made this an exceptional read. Thank you April Wilson.......I love them all !!

Jake plays a dark and remote character in the other books in this series but he always has his family's back. In this book, he finally gets his turn and the love he never got over is waiting for him on the other side. It's awesome to see him open up and find happiness. This is a great addition to this series from a really good author.

Super sweet and pre-visible. I read in one afternoon with one good glass (or two) of wine! Definitely would recommend for a friend
